Alright figured it out .. ... ;-)

this is a permission issue.

you can get lucky if you have BSD System 2.1 and OpenSSH installed on your iPhone ...

ssh in to your iPhone and cd in to "/private/var/mobile" do a chmod -R 755 or 750 on Library..

now go ahead and install as many summerboard themes you want and enjoy.

I have upgraded to 1.1.4, BL 3.9 and used Ziphone to Activate, Jailbreak and Unlock. Now i have installed SummerBoard 3.2 It's very much active however, it won't list the themes. What could be the problem? Where do we have to put the themes for SummerBoard 3.2 ?

Once you are SSH'd in...you can select the SummerBoard.app folder, right click, click Properties and change the Octal to 0755...then you need to open the folder and do the same thing to all the file inside the SummerBoard.app folder and any folders in there too.

For those of you having trouble after installing Summerboard- mine wouldn't change themes until I turned my iPhone completely off and turned it back on (which is what it tells you to do anyway). So try shutting it off completely and turn it back on.

ZiPhone jailbroken 1.1.3 iphone and I just installed the 3. 1-1 SMB but it does not change the theme. I checked the permissions of the "springboard" file using WinSCP and it is set to 0755. Do I need to install the "old" SMB listed in installer first then apply this as a patch?

I installed SummerBoard 3.0 under 1.1.2, and then upgraded to 1.1.3, and it was left installed. Most apps I could uninstall, and reinstall to make them work. SummerBoard 3.0 gives me a error when I try to uninstall it: "Main script execution failed!" And Installed doesn't show any new versions available.

How can I uninstall version 3.0 so I can install the new one (3.1-1) for 1.1.3?
