i'm not sure you want to hear this... i actually even restored original settings through itunes i then re-unlocked/jail-braked the phone and...once i updated to the new installer bsd subsystem appeared again!!

i want to get rid of it because it just drains my battery way faster.

anyone else has suggestions?

I'm running 1.1.4 & have been facing issues with BSD subsystem 2.1. Whenever I try to install particular application from installer, it says that BSD subsystem is reqd... even though I have it on my iPhone. So when I try to uninstall it and go to uninstall option, it shows up with a button of 'Reinstall' instead of 'Uninstall'... and if I go with Reinstall option, it prompts with an error message: Error: Package Download Failed !
Please help..!!!
