In response to the post Andy put up,if you use ziphone 2.2 you do not need to use any sim adaptor like turbosim or anything of the like and can use just your sim card.

in addition, I restored to factory, and took it into apple store thinking they could figure it out. They tried telling me I have water damage, and I told them that if the phone had got water on it I would have got water on me to,as it never leaves my side. They pulled out some lightscope and shined it down the headphone jack and said there is an indicator in there and if it turns pink that means that there is water damage, they had me look and I personally couldn't see any pink and think that just cause I bought the phone used they didn't want to honor the warranty on it.

I used ziphone 2.2 and the only problem i have is I can't seem to hear audio through the speakers when using youtube or ipod function. i still hear my ringers and if I use headphones I can hear audio on youtube and ipod with no problem. also when I have no audio, I get a popup message saying this accessory is not intended for iphone, and it asks me if I would like to turn on airplane mode.

Hi, I have an iPhone:

1. 1.1.2. OTB (used to be)
2. most likely with the new bootloader (4.6)
3. unactivated

I tried the "old" wayy to prepare for unlocking:
1. downgraded to 1.1.1.

The I spotted ZiPhone.

My Questions:
1. Should I in an y ways activate the phone beforehand?
2. I saw a video where the phone could be restored to 1.1.3. with Shift-Restore.
3. Is it possible.

Can I use a SIM-adapter+SIM installed? Would it matter?
Will I be able to use my SIM alone eventually?

Thanks

@Rob...according to the Zibri’s (the creator of ZiPhone) blog it should work on a iPod Touch (but, there have been mixed results)…HERE is a link to his blog, check it out and see what you think.
