GuitarChords 0.8

GuitarChords Ok guys…this app has a ton of new features. And, as you all know, I’m not too guitar savvy so I’m going to do my best to tell you about all the new features. :) When you open the app, you will notice a ton of new chord options. There are also arrows in the lower left corner which seem to display different positions for each chord…just tap the arrow to change the position. Not only that but, if you tap on the number in-between the arrows (1/4, 3/4, 4/5…) you can add that position as a favorite. That way the next time you choose that chord it will show the position you favorited first instead of having tap the arrows to get to it.

Now for what I have a feeling is the coolest part of the update…the addition of Scales. Where the About option used to be (in the upper left corner) is now a Scales option. If you tap it…you will get different options of scales. The Scale options include; Major Scales Modes, Melodic Minor Modes, Pentatonic Scales, Blues Scales, Symmetric Scales, Bebop Scales, Harmonic Scales and Miscellaneous. Each one of the those Scale options have even more Scales within them…I think there is a total of 34 scales. I also noticed a speaker icon on both the Scales and Chords screens. Right now it is grayed out but I’m assuming we will see the ability to play the Scales and Chords in a future version. Now that would be cool! GuitarChords is available through the iSpazio source.

Note: GuitarChords also has a new icon!

Update: shish has pointed out that when you are on the Scales Option…you can “scroll through the frets to see all the patterns of each scale forms.” Very cool! You scroll by swiping on the area where the scales are displayed.
