Snapture 1.4

Snapture Snapture is a favorite among many of you…including Doug and I…so updates are always exciting! Well, version 1.4 of Snapture adds an option in the Settings menu that allows you to choose how long of delay you would like on the timer. I think this is a great feature! We have actually used the timer feature a few times to take pics. Another great part of the update is that the thumbnails of the photos take with Snapture actually look correct now instead of looking all squished! A few other changes include; “Modified the way the touchscreen button works for added stability, Direct link to the new http://www.snaptured.com blog for the community and Fixed problem with settings not being saved sometimes.” So, I would say a pretty good update! Snapture is available through the BigBoss source.

  1. Awesome….Even though I paid for Camera Pro….I use both

    • I am in the same boat. I paid for Camera Pro and then a few weeks later this freebie version.
Personally I must say that I am not impressed with the picture quality (I know its a phone) but have you noticed any difference yourself in the pic quality?

      Thanks

This app just gets better and better! Tho the only thing I do notice is that in my camera roll, pictures take awhile to focus. Meaning when you first look at them, they’re all blurry! Maybe its just me, but I still love this app.

  3. The only weird thing I notice with this app is the time it takes to actually save the image and get ready for the next photo–seems triple what the built in camera takes. I stopped using it for that reason.

You can still take pictures while the previous picture is saving (upto 4 consecutively)…you never bothered to hit the Help button and read the FAQ have you? ;o

  5. Great app for the price. I’m glad they fixed the problem with the settings not being saved. Great app!

  6. this update only shows me the splash screen then crashes :-( am I the only one facing this problem?

Same thing happens to me, I even reformatted and rejailbroke just to try and get this app to work.

  7. Eh, will the new settings page have that serif font? Ewwness!

    • rakitin says

I think that that font is just one that Brooke set as a default on her phone.. Not to worry.

  8. better app than camera pro, although camera pro zooms in more, this snapture has a clearer image when zoomed in

  9. how do you insall snapture 1.4 if your iphone is already jailbroken?

  10. I wish the EXIF data was there. I upload lots of pics to flickr using either Mobile Flickr or Pushr instead of emailing because it keeps the EXIF data. Otherwise I like the app for b/w shots & taking self portraits is so much easier. Overall I like the app!

  11. Oops. I see it’s on their “todo list” http://www.snapture.org/knownbugs.html

  12. how do i get this app on my new iphone 3g?
