Linux Installer 1.0

Linux Installer Here is a fun little app for all your linux lovers. Linux is an app that makes it look as though Linux is being installed on your iPhone. The part I love about this app is that ever though it is just a fun app, with no huge purpose, it is well built! When you open the app, you will get a pop-up saying, Welcome to Linux Installer. Please press install to start the Installation. So, when you tap the screen the pop-up will disappear and you will get a blank screen with an Install button. When you tap Install, you will get a pop-up making sure you would like to “install” Linux. When you tap Yes, it will start the “install” process. It is funny…it even goes through all the steps (see screenshots below). Once it is done “installing” it will give you a pop-up asking if you would like to Reboot Now or Later. If you select Reboot Later it will bring you back to the SpringBoard, if you select Reboot Now it will respring your SpringBoard. No matter which option you choose nothing actually happens to your iPhone. Linux is not actually installed this is just a fun app to trick your friends with! Linux Installer is available through the DavTeam source.

The absolutely asinine stuff coming out for the iPhone these days is quite depressing. People create crap like this, but apps I’d really like to see, no sign of anything.
