There are no visual changes to version 2.0.0B9 of Customize. Just some bug fixes and efficiently upgrades. Customize is avilable through the Ste Packaging source.

well its still a beta, i wonder why. i dont know if i like the new one so much, i liked how in the old customize you had the list of everything you could change (strings, sounds, battery icon, sms bubles……) does 2.0 have a list like that?

Customize 2.0 crashed my iPhone twice. Once with beta5 & once with Beta8. The crashes were unrecoverable. My iPhone would not boot. Apple logo…forever. I had to reinstall 1.1.4 both times, which is such a pain & time consuming to upload all my apps., and set up my phone just the way I had it. I wonder if anyone else had had similar problems with this app. I am going to wait until Customize 2.0 is out of beta. In the mean time I have SSHd all my cool graphix and use SBP to spice up the icons once in a while.

Yes, it does. It works on 1.0.2 and above.

Is it possible to change the number of items in the dock still? Or was that taken out. I haven’t used customize in a few months.
No, you still need Kate (formally known as Caterpillar) to do that!
Doesn’t work for me on my 1.1.4 touch. Crashes to springboard.
It crashes on my 1.1.4 also.

Customize 2.0 does work, but like a lot of you have said, it does crashes quite frequently. You can download a lot of themes/icons/images by using wifi directly from this application. It is pretty sweet.
yep like all others are saying, it chrashes on 1.1.4 like ypo can´t even start it.
It does work but after you download it you have to SSH in and change Permissions.
I had to for version B8 but not for B5. In any case, after using the app., for any Length of time and it will crash back to the homescreen. Mine eventually crashed, twice, for good – would not boot.
customize 2.0 just gave me the spinning wheel of death. now i’m looking into ways to get rid of it without restoring…
I’ve had the same problem – SWOD twice so i’ve steered clear. Great app – loved to use it but don’t want to restore again. How easy is it to SSH new icons etc? So far i’m fine with videos for vwallpaper using Cyberduck but i haven’t tried anything else. Any advice?
It’s VERY easy to SSH your own themes/icons…etc. Just keep a copy of everything you want to change on your desktop, and just drag it into the right folders via SSH. Forget customize.

I am a virgin to all this good stuff, and upgraded to customize 2.0, and all it does is go back to my icons, when I try and open it,what am I doin wrong ??????
i have a iphone refurbish 4gb, i put 3 times and the same result … my iphone freeze and don’t boot.

You have to install the SUID Lib Fix app in Utilities before installing. According to their faq it is fine to install on 1.1.4 despite stating it is for 1.1.3 only. I tried this earlier after registering on their website and all is working fine.

Hey Don – It’s really straight forward. The easiest way is to go to the customizeapp site and check out the faq – it explains it all there. Just go to Utilities in Installer and download the SUID Lib Fix app before downloading Customize 2.0 and you should be up and running.

Customize crashed me too. There should be a list of harmful apps, for instance Cate, that is the worst!

I’d advise freaking out.
ok I have 1.1.4 and it works fine for me, but crashes on my brothers.
Only thing is I had to do a “reset all settings” and it made my 2 backups into original icons.
Other than that its good.
i have 1.1.3 and it’s work but when i tap on program i have to wait for 4 or 5 second , by the away , i put background a picture but i don’t know how to remove or delete it , any one can helpe me please??????
