RemoteNote 1.0.1

RemoteNote The update to version 1.0.1 of RemoteNote makes some significant changes to the UI as well as adding a few new features. One new feature is that the app is now password protected. When you open RemoteNote on your SpringBoard, you will see a field for both a username and password. The default username and password are both remotenote. To change them, just type in a new username and password. Now, when you open your notes via a browser, it will ask you for your username and password before it will let you access the page. Once you are into the page, you will notice a completely new UI. Which is very nice but, I am having a hard time using it.

When I go to create a new note, it will only let me create a title. I can’t figure out how to add text inside the note. No matter what I write, it changes it to the title. Also, when I added additional text to a previously created note and then saved it, the title was deleted. The additional text I added was saved, only the title was gone. I also could only add one new note. I think the interface is lovely however, I’m not sure if it is still buggy or if I seriously need a lesson in Spiffy Flex based interfaces. :) Another new feature is a “much better unicode support.” Which means that it should now support more languages. I really like this app well, before this update I really liked this app. Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestion on how to use the new UI! Thanks! RemoteNote is available through the BigBoss source.

  1. This works great for me. No problems with the title and text entry. It would be nice if it ran in the background so was always on unless I chose to turn it off, then I could still use the phone and make notes.

  2. Hey Brooke. The first line of every note IS the title, just like in the notes app. What seems confusing is that when the notes first load, it all looks right, but it updates to this rule once you make an edit. So .. if you have a note that starts with a blank line, then the title, then text, it will look right the first time it loads, but if you edit that note … the title will go blank, since your first line is blank.
Maybe when you were making new notes, you kept writing on the first line of the text. Treat it just like you treat notes on the iphone, and it works fine.

I tried it…didn’t really like the upgrade. Password protected sign-in, why? if someone whats to read or add notes they can do it directly on the iPhone.

Anyway, i found a MUCH better program. Give it a try and write a review. I uploaded it here.

Latest version iPhone PC Suite v1.0.6:
