BettyCrocker 1.0

BettyCrocker BettyCrocker is a cookbook on your iPhone! When you open the application, you get a screen with two options; Donate and Exit. You will also see a lower menu bar with four more options; Breakfast/Brunch, Drinks, Dinner and Dessert. Theses options break the recipes into categories. If you select the Breakfast/Brunch options, you will get recipes for different kinds of pancakes, egg bakes…etc. If you tap on a recipe that is in the list, it will bring up all the information for that recipe including; Prep Time, Start to Finish Time, How much it makes, the Ingredients and the instructions on how to make it.

Each category has ten recipes. All the recipes are detailed, complete and well explained. There are a few things I would like to see in this application…
the ability to add your own recipe, the ability to email a recipe and a back button!! When you are in a recipe, it needs a back button that brings you back to the recipe list…that way you do not have to select the category again! Betty Crocker is available through the iSpazio source.

  1. This is a cool concept although it is one of those things that I’ll put on my phone and NEVER use bc I don’t cook.

This also gives me new ideas on how to use moleskine…. :)

  2. i think this app should have photos of food, it will be better…
also it should add a host for people to choose the food and download the recipe to their iphone/touch … :D great app

  3. I wonder how long it will take for the Betty Crocker lawyers to C&D them?

  4. Johnny Quest says

If you change the name to something else maybe it wouldn’t be so a rights thing. But definitely pictures would be cool.

  5. Installation of this application caused my Ipod Touch to become a virtual Brick. Upon installation, I was presented with the spinning circle of death; thirty minutes later it was still spinning. I did a hard-reset, and was met with the apple startup logo. It did not proceed beyond this point. I had to restore it twice to get it back to a use-able condition.

I can’t blame this app specifically, however I wanted to at least notify you of the possibility. I’m highly reluctant to install it again.

  6. Pretty good app. I did however notice that some of the recipes don’t work. Under dinner when you click on Monte Cristo Delights and under desserts when you click on Pumpkin Struesel Cheesecake, you get an error that comes up.

JavaScript Error ‘uncaught exception: Failed to evaluate ‘var/Applications/…..etc

    Obvious bugs, beware…..

  7. havnt installed it on my iphone but installed it on my moms hopin’ she’ll make some nice desserts….lol
