Well, I got this alert and then the iPhone restarted by itself and it worked perfectely. It’s activated and working like a charm. now all I’m waiting for is unlocking and jailbreaking. Heard they did that already… That was really really fast.

Is the Youtube quality over 3G the same as WiFi or is it low quality such as the iphone 1st gen is over EDGE

doug i’m pretty sure i saw you at the apple store this morning, i wasn’t sure so i didn’t want to say anything. but yea the reason the networks been faulty is because they’re trying to get the 3g up and running in our area, which has caused a lot of problems for at&t in the area. Maybe you haven’t noticed as much, but I have with my phone. I always used to be able to get signal pretty much anywhere in my neighborhood and now its a complete dead spot. I called at&t about it and they told me it had to do with getting the 3g networks up and running. but hey at least we’re finally getting it here!!

I have just heard that iPod touch owners have been trying to download it and its been failing. Apple have removed the firmware 2.0 and will hopefully have it working in the morning (its 22:34 here in the UK)

Well it seems that apple have really messed up today! First the iPhone 3G problem and now something else has gone wrong! I restored my iPod touch to firmware 1.1.4 this afternoon (I’m in the UK) so that I could upgrade to 2.0. I clicked on check for updates and it found it. I pressed ok to try and download it but it just kept on failing! Now when I press check for updates it doesn’t even find 2.0. There is now no link on apple for it or on iTunes. Any help would be greatly appriciated!!!

I’m looking at this from a business perspective on my blog. How much more of these customer service problems can Apple have? I wonder if many are going to look elsewhere.

okay, i NEED this stuff on my touch. I have been up for a total of 11 hours today, all needing this stuff. this is really bugging me bad.

I agree that things should have been released on seperate days
(mobileme monday, app store tuesday, 2.0 wednesday, 3g friday.

Everyone in the world is either trying to activate an iPhone, upgrade an iPhone, un-brick their iPhone/Touch, upgrade a Touch, or rebooting their computer thinking it’s their problem (this would be me)
