That is not water that they are pouring into the electronic device. It looks like water but it is not. I will get the name of that, and post it later because I forgot the exact name for it.

The point of the Golden Shellback is that its waterproof. Screen protectors are a dime a dozen.

Excellent for someone who works full-time in a rain forest, or a swim instructor, Marine Biologist, etc... :-D
Once OtterBox comes out with the defender case for the 3G, it will be a very inexpensive alternative to this process (and you get to keep your phone while you wait for your case)! For those of you who haven't used the defender case... give it a try for 50 bucks... best case out there in my humble opinion!

Yes it does work based on electricity, but I would assume it would still work fine. It would be like using a screen protector. Josh's comment below yours is false.

This is cool, but try out invisbleshield. Basically the same thing but cheaper. Not sure if it can do water, but i know it is scratch resistant, and their video is cool :)

The $50 to $75 estimate was was one persons guess but it was later revealed to cost about $1000. Im not sure if that $1000 was the price for a laptop, and the iphone may be cheaper, but its still going to be very expensive.

The website also says that it's not reversible and that to repair the phone, you'll need to use "abrasive methods". That doesn't sound so great.

I am sure this would void the warranty. Also, any thoughts on heat? Coating the insides like this, wouldn't it cause chips to heat up more?

I wonder what the long term effects are, I guess if it gets too hot, just drop it in some ice water.

Cool..though.
