NetShare Refund

Available In: App Store       Price: $9.99

NetShareThere’s lots of drama lately about applications being pulled from the App Store. There’s all kinds of ideas why some were pulled. Some were pulled, brought back, pulled, brought back, and pulled. Unlike PhoneSaber, which is rumored to come back with Star Wars official branding, NetShare will likely never come back unless AT&T changes some things. NetShare allows your iPhone to share it’s cellular data connection over WiFi. I decided to see what I could do about getting a refund. Here’s what I did:

1. Opened the App Store in iTunes.
2. Over on the top right under quick links I clicked “Account”
3. In the middle I clicked “Purchase History”
4. I found the NetShare app in the list and clicked the arrow on the left of that item.
5. I clicked “Report A Problem” on the right hand side of the item
6. I send this email: this application was removed, I would like a refund please

I received this email in response:

Dear Douglas,

I’m sorry to hear that the application you recently purchased has been removed. I can understand how this would be disappointing for you. My name is (name removed), and I will gladly offer assistance.

You will see a store credit of $9.99 in three to five business days. You may need to sign out of the iTunes Store and then sign back in before you see the credit in your account.

Thank you for choosing the iTunes Store, Douglas. Your satisfaction is a priority for us.

Sincerely,

(name removed)

  2. Trying this now gets you a we’re sorry … please contact nullriver support and they give you a link to their support page.

  3. why get a refund does it not work since they took it off??? I bought and never set up my computer to work with it. But it worked two weeks ago on my girls mac.

Is it possible to get the refund but keep the app?

  5. Is there a chance that they will offer this for jailbroken phones? That market would still be big? Or is it too hard to code that thing without use of apples official coding stuff? i mean can you write apps for jailbroken phones with the iphone developer software or do you have to code them via a more oldscool way?

  6. There is already an alternative to NetShare for jailbroken iPhones. The app is called 3Proxy and instructions are here:

Completely off topic here, but that last line, “Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to assist you” Reading that makes me sick for some reason. Is there anyone else who sees that little statements like this are complete garbage or is it just me?

    • I do, its like, oh let me make u feel u r important but actually this is a template and I dont give a fock about u, thank u again LOL

  8. You can manually remove it from the iTues apps folder on your computer and keep a copy, I believe.

  9. Your refund most likely comes out of NullRiver’s pocket. I’m not going to ask for my $10 back, even if the app disappears from my phone (which so far it hasn’t). The developers did a great job trying to make an awesome app possible, and they’ve been hurt enough by Apple. Let them keep anything they managed to make on it. It’s the right thing to do.

  10. Hi, its nice paragraph on the topic of media print, we all know media is a fantastic source of data.
