RemindYou 2.0

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free Trial then $9.95

RemindYou Many of you may remember RemindYou, a lock screen calendar app, from firmware 1.1.4 and below. It seems the app has made it’s way to the 2.x firmware. However, this time I can actually get it to work which is nice because with firmware 1.1.4 and below we could never get this application to work for us. When you open the application, you will get a list of Settings. Here you are able to change things like; font, font size, font color, 24 hour time, dim wallpaper…etc. However, I can’t seem to get a few of the settings to work. Any setting with an arrow next to it will not launch. This includes; Font, Font Color and Registration. All of the other Settings work just fine.

Once you select your settings and enable the application, it will display your upcoming calendar events on your lock screen. It also allows you to sync with iCal, Outlook or Entourage. I actually do not use any of those (Google all the way) so, you will have to let me know in the comments how well the syncing works! It comes with a seven day trial and you can purchase the full application for $9.95.

  1. I love applications like this. I used to use Intelliscreen until I realized that it was the source of a lot of the problems I was experiencing (crashes, freezing, etc.). This looked like a good alternative, nice and simple. However, if you use several calendars (such as syncing multiple google calendars via NemuSync), it will not display all of the events. It’s weird how it chooses which calendars to display.

Hopefully they will work out that bug. I really like the simplicity and the fact that you can manipulate the fonts.

  2. How do you get the five stacked icons on the dock in the above picture. What app and/or theme? Thanks.

  3. Is there an option not to display recurring appointments ?
In case – I want them to popup normally with the reminder, but only see the other non-recurring in RemindYou.
