SimCity Coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch!

It seems Electronic Arts, the developers of Spore, will soon (later this month…as we are told) be bringing SimCity to the iPhone and iPod Touch! The people over at kotaku think that it will be a rather impressive integration of the game.

“Whatever you do, though, don’t go thinking this is SimCity Lite. This mobile version is fully featured, with pre-built cities, accountant recommendations, water pipes, natural disasters, etc. The works.

Zooming in as close as you can on the 2D sprites reveals intricate details, such a smoke emitting from towers, or shading alongside the buildings. Overall, a really nice graphical presentation that compares similarly to SimCity 3000.”

My first reaction when I heard that SimCity was coming to the iPhone (and iPod Touch) was SWEET!! But, then I started to think about everything that the game entails and lost some of my enthusiasm. However, after reading kotaku’s review of the application it seems that it is nicely integrated. You will want to check out their full review of SimCity for the iPhone HERE. I personally can’t wait until it is released…this is one I will have to check out for sure!

  3. I hav 2 say I’m very cynical about this. knowing EA games, the hype is not going to b anywhere near as good as the original, much lik spore. every1 was anticipating spore to b an amazing game that would set unbeatable standards in the iPhone gaming world, but then it turned out to b a piece of crap that barely resembled the amazing computer version. I’m personally not holding my breath for this 1.

  4. check out monopoly…
    long waited apps…
    finally…

  5. I noticed that this is not the first time at all that you write about this topic. Why have you chosen it again?
