The app allows the photographer to “remotely control the settings of the camera, fire the shutter, review images, and even get a live viewfinder preview.”

The app currently only supports Canon EOS DSLR cameras however, they are working on compatibility with Nikon DSLR cameras.

There are two versions of the application the Professional Edition ($19.99 introductory price of $9.99) and the Lite edition ($1.99). Below are the features for both the Lite and Professional versions of the application and the full Press Release for DSLR Remote.

This sounds pretty cool. and if you want another idea to develop give this some thought. I’d like to connect my Canon Digital Rebel XT to my 3g iPhone via min-USB->iPod connector. I’d like to use this to upload hires photos to mobileme/picasa/twitpic/any photo site w/o having to upload onto my computer first.
