Can anyone tell me if upgradeing will erase my contacts?
It shouldn’t as long as you synced you iPhone first it should back all that up. It’s just like any other firmware upgrade there’s just more features added this time.

Activation server is down so I can’t restore yet to 3.0.
if musclenerd show us yesterday that ultrasnow is coming friday might as well just upgrade im sure by then the JB will be out, cause ultrasnow doesnt work on an Oficial phone it has to be JB, so its ok to live without cydia for 2 or 3 days, also he gave us green light to upgrade firmware since ultrasnow works on any iphone using 3.0, except FOR NOW the 3GS since they didnt test it on that iphone yet. Thank GOD and USA for the DEV TEAM !!!
I upgraded a week ago with the GM. It was the exact same build as the one released today. It was quite funny watching all the hustle on the internet today while I leaned back and had nothing to worry about

If you’ve had it hidden on 2.x this is why. Going into Settings>General>Reset and then Reset Homescreen layout it should fix it.
why don’t you use the new spotlight feature

you will lose your Jailbreak when you upgrade to 3.0

Yes you do! Restore first or you will lose disk space! Also if you have changed your carrier name, use “make it mine” to restore it to factory or it will carry over to the upgrade.
I had some apps that were stuck in categories, and now that i have upgraded, and i forgot to take them out of the categories, there all hidden, i restored it, but they still done show up

Settings>General>Reset and then Reset and it worked, but i dont see the push notifications anywhere, or the video recording…hmmm, i wonder why, can anyone explain?

why isn’t there a camera icon in the new messages. I know the deal with AT&T and late summer but that shouldn’t be missing for US coustomers.
Once MMS is available. How will it enabled? A simple switch button from ATT? Another small update from Apple? If so, does that mean we’ll have to jailbreak again after MMS update? TIA
