hello friends, i buy an iphone 2G FROM A FRIEND AND WANTED TO RESTORE IT TO FACTORY DEFAULT BUT UNFORTUNATELY I DELETED ALL DATA AND SETTINGS ON THE IPHONE. NOW IT REFUSES TO RESTART. I ONLY SEE THE APPLE LOGO AT THE CENTRE AND PERIODIC ATTEMPT TO OPEN BUT IT WILL RESTART TO THAT LIMIT ONLY. KINDLY GUIDE ME ON HOW TO RESTORE ITS FACTORY SETTINGS. OH THANKS ALOT…

i upgraded to 3.0, i jailbroke my 3g iphone to 3.0… i have AT&T… now i have NO SIGNAL!! PLEASE HELP! WHAT DO I DO? :’(

Hi,anyone can tel me if is possible to downgrade firmware??i upgrade my 2g to 3.0 but want to go back to 2.2.1 anyway to do it please let me know…i tried but itunes gave me error 20 even though i use itune 8.1..

every time i shift restore with the new 3.0 it get about half way an comes up with an error 10 ??
any advice ?

I just upgraded my 1st generation iPhone to the new 3.0 software using Pwnage for Mac. It worked great, but I’ve lost Cycorder and all the videos of my son I have taken. Is there anyway to get them back???? I also lost the Cyntact app I purchased from Cydia products. Can I load it again for free? given that I already purchased it, or can I find it somewhere in lost memory?

okay
installed custom ipsw everything went well but anything i try to install in cydia, i get errors then a respring, things in icy install but dont work. winterboard wont enable anything, all tweaks i have do nothing. this is stupid to have 2 extra (not counting WB) on my iphone if they dont work, i need a fix or im restoring

Btw, the ipsw is a .ipsw.zip file I guess. According to the other comments above, just rename and remove the .zip.

You need iTunes to restore or update your phone. I restored mine. I’m using a mac so press alt option and browse for your ipsw. For pc, press shift. Restore or update. After doing that open redsnow and browse for your ipsw. Just follow the instructions and you’re good to go. The hard part is installing cydia apps back. It took me awhile to download it all again.
