The issue is in the Apple firmware not handling data and voice connections concurrently well in OS 3.0. Other people have had problems with their phones (without WI) when push was turned on because when the phone woke up from sleep to receive the call, it would also try a data connection for mail and lock up the phone function. All I did was change the logic to not update if there's an incoming call. For those of you with icons not showing on the status bar, are you running OS 3.0 or 2.x?
