Alit – WinterBoard Theme

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

Alit alittheme2 Alit is a WinterBoard theme that contains a wallpaper, status bar, dock, lock screen background, slider, 65 icons and badge. The theme’s folder also contains an icon template, a .psd file (you can get the file by sshing in and it is located in the Library/Themes/Alit.theme folder). The unique thing about this theme is that it themes all icons (except web clips and some random Cydia apps). If the theme doesn’t have a specific icon made for an app, it just themes the app’s original icon (see screenshots below). It even themes the icons in the App Store. If you open the App Store app on your iPhone or iPod Touch, while Alit is enabled, you will notice that even the app thumbnails are themed! It is nice to have themes like this. That way, all the icons are themed instead of half of them. It helps that it is a cool theme too…I really like the dock.

How to Install

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the modmyi source installed in Cydia.
3. Search Alit in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Alit Theme.

  1. Wow that is amazing! I always have to sit and photoshop themes together or create my own .psd files, but this is unreal. Major props to the developer/creator!

Agree with the guy above! All my theme were made with Photoshop… I plan on taking this icon template & fix some of the themes I’ve made like this. Nicely done!

  3. Also, if you are adding a bookmark icon to your homepage, it themes it

i have mmi in my sources but alit is nowhere to be found. i used search, i also looked thru the total mmi packages. is it nit there for 3.0? i see it on mmi site and it’s perfect fir me, as i change out apps daily and often manually change icons using ifile. anyone know why it’s not in my cydia? thx.

  5. Wow – nicely done. Time to take it apart to see how it ticks…

  6. it’s still not there in cydia, despite my having mmi in sources. is there another place to get this theme? i really, really want it. i’ve never had this happen before! when i add a source, the pkgs are there. but not this time….i just don’t get this at all. (i’ve had a jailbroken iphone for a year, so i know how to add sources and all that).

went to mmyi. mod couldnt help me. went to deviantart–the alit creators page. went to other sites. reinstalled mmyi repo. alit never, ever shows up in cydia! is there someone who could post exactly how one gets this theme? i added mmyi from the repo section in cydia. thats after trying several times to add it by hand and getting a big no from cyd. its there, other mmyi pkgs are there. but NO ALIT. thx whoever posts how to get it :)

  9. After i use this theme and download stuff, the icons will not theme.

  10. Same as Utin. A lot of my apps aren’t themed. Common ones like Evernote and “Weather” failed to theme, as well as most games. Anyone have any solutions? May be a problem with the latest update?

    • Did you figure it out? Mine is doing the same thing!! The apps won’t change

      • It only works if the phones language is set to english. if the language is something else.. like in my case german you have to rename the icons with the german name

  11. How come my lock slide bar still have letters? And what exactly is the LCD clock?

  12. Help! It added about 50 blank apps and categories and een with cydelete I can not erase it!
