PDANet SBSettings Toggle

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

PDANet Toggle PDANet Toggle allows you to easily toggle PDANet, a tethering application, on and off. When you install the application, the toggle is automatically added into your SBSettings’ toggles. I’m not sure if this allows you to close PDANet while connected (without using Backgrounder) and still tether to your computer or if it is just a toggle for the actual app…when on, you can use PDANet, when off, you cannot. I’m not sure because, when I tested it (a million time!!) I couldn’t get it to work but, I’m not going to blame that on the toggle…I blame it on my lame AT&T connection! Let me know in the comments if it worked for you. You can get PDANet Toggle via the BigBoss source.

  1. Its kind of way off topic but i have noticed that i can’t see missed call on my lockscreen on my Iphone 3gs and 2g both running 3.0 firmware with jaibreak on it. Does anyone noticed that or its just me.

  2. Why is it needed??

  3. PDA Net has always given me problems. I would recomemmend checkin out the following link and video. This allows you to turn on the internal thethering option available in 3.0. I’ve installed and tested and it works great!

  4. Does PdaNet work on a 2g with 3.0? Can’t user 3.0 tethering since it is not supported on the 2g.

  5. I purchased pdanet back in December. I never have issues with my MacBook connecting. Windows is a pain at times bc if I’m not active on the web it times out and I have to set it up all over again. Here near Atlanta i pull 2.5Mbps on 3g.

  6. the toggle, in my testing, just makes it so PdaNet doesn’t work. I guess it has uses but for me I have no real need for it.

    • okay, upon further use it appears that if you toggle it to On, and connect to the P2P wireless network it automatically gives you internet without having to open PdaNet. Nice. Unless there’s another wifi hotspot your iPhone connects to automatically first. But if you just toggle PdaNet and Wifi, and the computer’s wifi is the only one, you don’t have to open up the PdaNet app to get internet access.
