Now that FontSwap is working for firmware 3.0 I tried it out for the first time. I’ve never really changed the font of my iPhone in the past but I thought I would today. The first thing I noticed was there were only a few options that came with the app so I started looking in Cydia for some more. There were a few more but a few sources weren’t working and I just wasn’t satisfied with the choices. Then a local tweep (twitter acquaintance) posted a screenshot of his iPhone with the Google Android font. I asked him where he got it and he pointed me to the MacThemes forum. Someone who was porting over fonts had recent done the Android font. You can download it here: http://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/tuxqui
Now you just need to SSH it to this folder: /private/var/mobile/Library/FontSwap/Packages/
You’ll want to put the DroidSans folder in the above folder and rename it DroidSans.font
Now just go into FontSwap app and select that font. You probably won’t see a preview of the font but it will still work. Here’s what it looks like:
Hi. This worked, but I had to put it in /private/var/mobile/Library/FontSwap/Packages/System Fonts
Does anyone know how to adapt this for the lockscreen font?
You better update the post, Rich is right. You need to put it in /private/var/mobile/Library/FontSwap/Packages/System Fonts in order to work.
I’m interested in making it work for the lockscreen also. ?
Very good looking.
Thanks for sharing this font.
Nice theme, what is it?
