GPower – Respring, Reboot and Power Off from the Slide To Power Off Screen

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

GPower GPower is an application that allows you to Power Off, Reboot and Respring your iPhone or iPod Touch all from your main Power Off screen. When you hold down the Power Button on the top of your device, instead of just getting a Slide To Power Off slide, you will get two additional Slides; Slide to Reboot and Slide to Respring.

This is nice for those times when you have no option but to hold down the Power button. Now, instead of only being able to power your device off, you can chose to just restart it or reboot it.

I tested this app on firmware 3.0 and I didn’t have any issues with it. Below is a picture (yes, a pitcure. We are on vacation and I do not have access to all my normal stuff) and a video of the app…it does this cool slide-n deal.

  1. This is very handy to have when an app crashes and you can just respring, instead of holding home and power until and rebooting. Works great on my 3GS and my 2.2.1 1st gen.

  2. As useful as this is, it does mess up slightly if you use a ‘slide to unlock’ slider that is not the conventional size.

  6. Hey! Does anybody know, why I can’t find this app in Cydia? Its only GPower from XSellize repo.

  7. Oh, I needed this app yesterday. But, sure I’ll need it soon again, I’ll download right now.

  8. Sbsettings does it since begining.

  9. This app isn’t working properly for me. I get a slide to power off bar, a tap to answer button, and a slide to respring bar with nothing to slide…someone help!!!!

  10. not working on fw 3.1.2 ?
    help…

  11. I successfully installed Gpower on 3.1.2 using Rock instead of Cydia. It’s working. The author also had a Firmware faker app that lets you put in any FW number for apps to see. You can go that route but that might cause other apps that require 3.1.2 FW to stop working.

terry6v is correct. if you install it via Rock it will work. Cydia verison will not.
