Available In: Cydia       Price: $1.99

iDitDahText iDitDahText is a keyboard alternative for the iPhone and iPod touch that allows you to enter characters by tapping their Morse code.” This is just an informational post, I have not purchased this application because even if I did, I wouldn’t be able to tell you how to use it because I know nothing about Morse code. :) However, I figured some of you might and therefore might be interested in iDitDahText. It is actually a pretty crazy application. Below is a description of the application and a demo video.

App Description

iDitDahText is a keyboard alternative for the iPhone and iPod touch that allows you to enter characters by tapping their Morse code. The interface is a dual lever touch paddle (which also can be used as single lever paddle), coupled to an iambic keyer and decoder. Please watch the video on youtube for details along with a demonstration of text being entered at 50 WPM. iDitDahText also provides a plugin for a game called Typing Sebastian: a simple, fun way to learn how to use Morse code with iDitDahText. Again, See the video on youtube and FAQ for more details.

I had troubles when I tried to enable it in sbsettings. It said no licence, and went to download it. No trouble there, but then a springboard reset was needed and it would always come back in safe mode.

The solution I used: re-install the app in safe mode. When the springboard is reset, it works and toggles no worries in sbsettings.

Just got this. Probably would be better if I knew morse code but I got the game with it so I’m slowly learning.

  6. I love this App! I used to be a radio operator with the Army and we got pretty good at morse.

It would be AWESOME if it would work with Haptic Pro or had a vibrating option. If you could feel the dits and dahs it would be easier to use in a quiet enviornment so the beeps don’t annoy everyone else. Also I think the space bar is in an awkward place. I wish it was right where the info link is at the bottom right. Other than that I love it

  7. I think it is really hard to use. I learned my basic letters but the game isn’t user friendly and I keep messing up the timing of. My dit and dah counts. I have no idea how you can do it so fast

  8. I would love to get this program but need a non-jailbreak version. Any hope that Apple will allow this app on their site? -wb

  9. Mine came without a license from xsellize, can’t reinstall.. Some error with cydia source. Have iFile. Does anyone have the link to license file so I can manually insert into the program?
