MultiIconMover – Move Multiple Icons at a Time (without a computer)

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

##ICON_NAME## MultiIconMover is a mod that allows you to move more than one icon at a time (without using a computer). The application is pretty straight forward.

Once installed, you can to go into the normal “wiggle” move mode. Once in wiggle mode, just tap on the icons you would like to move. When you tap on an icon a check mark will appear on it (you can tap the icon again to remove the check mark). You can then scroll to the page on your SpringBoard in which you would like to move the icons and tap the Home Button. This will move the selected icons to that page on your SpringBoard. Just tap the Home Button again to spot wiggle mode.

I tested this a few times and it worked great. I did have a little glitch when I took a screenshot of the icons while they were checked in wiggle mode but, I resprang my iPhone and everything went back to normal.

A pretty cool mode that allows for a quick and easy way to rearrange multiple icons at one.

Note: When moving icons to a new page on your SpringBoard, you will need to have enough spaces on that page for the number for icons you have selected. If there are not enough spaces, the additional icons will not be moved.

Amazing! this is a perfect app for those that like to play with themes.
I love it. Why didn’t apple come up with this? This is way better than trying to drag icons through multiple pages. Great work!!

If it wasn’t for the new iTunes version and FW 3.1, this app would be the best of the last 5 months. You can rearrange icons on iTunes now. Great work from the developers, but I think it’s come a bit too late.

  3. its great. Works on 3.0 and is compatible with 5 column springboard and 5 icon dock installed.

Not only that but its fasted then the crappy itunes thing because for starters i dont need to SYNC just to change my layout.

  4. Works great! Thanks for the review. Two questions: In your screen shots, what tool did you use to display date and time in the upper toolbar? Second, when are you both going to do another iPhone 101 video?

    Thanks again,

    Adelos

  5. This mod rocks! Works really well why didn’t apple do this? Makes total sense

    what theme is this brooke?

  7. This mod is awesome. Not only am I surprised that Apple could not manage to think of this but I am amazed at how this totally bypasses Apple’s new feature in iTunes to rearrange your home screen icons. I am still using firmware 3.0.1 so I cannot access that new feature. But this mod is a whole lot better as I can do it right on my iPhone. BRILLIANT!!!

Furthermore, I think that this particular mod is better than all the other ones that do the same thing in Cydia. Maybe there is only one other. I don’t really remember. This mod is also from the developer of Backgrounder and Kirikae. I love those mods as well.

The only problem I have noticed is that whenever I move my icons via this mod and then push the home screen button it calls up Kirikae. I havey particular settings for Kirikae to activate when I hold down the home button. There must be some sort of conflict with MultiIconMover.

Since it is from the same developer I’m sure that’s why I am experiencing this isolated glitch. But other than that I love this mod very much!

    • There was an update to Kirikae last night. After I updated the issue I had was fixed. So now MultiIconMover works flawlessly for me. Yay! :)

  8. This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Firstly, this app is awesome. On my phone I have been very lazy recently and I have games (for example) spread out across all my screens, intermixed with apps. I can grab game icons from all my jumbled screens at the same time and drop them on a new screen (as long as there is room).

After install the app wasn’t working properly, I thought it was due to my illumine theme with small icons, but I guess it just needed an additional respring, now it’s working fine with my theme.

  11. The app worked great on my 3GS 32Mb phone with Five-Column Springboard installed on iPhone 3.0. However, I began to experience some severe crashes on the phone (ones that would only allow me to reboot the phone by holding the Home and Power buttons while connected to a USB cable. And I had to hold those buttons for a VERY long time to restart the phone).

Whenever I rebooted the phone after the crash, my icons were jumbled up and not in the order I had rearranged them in. The only recent app I had added was MultiIconMover. So I arranged my icons one last time, then removed the app. My phone crashed two more times, but the icons remained in place. I have had no crashes since (fingers crossed). If I do, I will update you all.

My crashes may or not be related to this app. The crashes were not from 3.1 as I have not updated my phone. I am still on 3.0.

    • Update: It seems my crashing may not be related to this app after all. I am still having problem with my phone crashing. So ignore my post above. This app seems to work just fine as far as I can tell.

  12. don’t forget to respring OR reboot after installing peeps! might not work without doing so.

great app, makes organizing so much easier.

  13. nice… :D

  14. It seems this does not work together with Locktopus.

  15. what is that theme on ScreenShots? look nice

  16. Found it,

it’s called the Smoog theme.. Found it on brooke’s other discussion..

By the way, winterboard still does not support HD icons in iphone 4..

So no point of me installing any theme yet..

  17. Strangely it doesnt allow you to drag a bunch of icons into a folder or create one with the selection…

    Anyone know how?
