Just one week after it’s released, Orbit has nearly 50,000 users (keep in mind that the app costs $1.99 in Cydia… not too bad). He then gives a detailed break-down of the statistics of the 45,254 users. Below are the charts.

RipDev Says Goodbye to the iPhone Community

##ICON_NAME## If you have been around the jailbreak scene for any length of time, you are probably familiar with the RipDev. The announcement makes me a little sad. Ripdev, and their applications, have been a huge part of the jailbreak community. Below is what they have to say.

I will be honest, this is my first Friday Night Movie Night. Normally Doug does Friday Night Movie Night but since he is in Africa… I thought I would give it a shot. These are some cool videos I found that were created using an app called ReelMoments.

ReelMoments, by Nexvio Inc., is an application that allows you to create time-lapse videos right from your iPhone 3G or 3GS. The videos below were captured with ReelMoments and edited with ReelDirector (also by Nexvio Inc.).

CategoriesSB – Integrate Categories App into SpringBoard

Available In: Cydia       Price: $0.99

##ICON_NAME## Yesterday, CategoriesSB was released in Cydia. CategoriesSB is an application that integrates Categories into the SpringBoard. This is done by loading the folders you create using Categories directly on the SpringBoard instead of loading them as a separate app. What this basically does is allows the folders that you create with Categories to load much faster. This also allows for things like badge support since the folder is directly on the SpringBoard.

You will still need to use the actual Categories application to create, edit, delete and rearrange the applications in the folders you create. You can get CategoriesSB via the BigBoss source. [Read more…]

TomTom Car Kit Finally Available – Sort Of

##ICON_NAME## Ok, we have been doing this TomTom Car Kit thing for almost two months now, but it seems that they might finally be getting down to business… sort of. The TomTom Car Kit is now displayed on both the Apple Store and TomTom’s website however, there are a few catches.

First, the price now seems to be $119.95 instead of the announced price of $99.99. Second, the Apple Store says that the product is, “Currently Unavailable” and TomTom’s website says that it is, “Currently not available through TomTom.com.” So, although it seems to be “ready”, they obviously are not shipping yet.

Basically, they have already delayed the Kit once so instead of delaying it again (missing their October deadline) and looking really bad, they have put the item up so it looks available when really… it’s not.
