How is Lockinfo vs. Intelliscreen. I remember when I used Intelliscreen, the performance of my phone went drastically down as well as the battery life. However, I did like the fact that you could check your sms and mail from the lockscreen.

The combo that I use now which works pretty effectively is Lock Calendar and mquickdo. I’ve been hearing a lot about Lock Info and I might give it a try run.

  2. Due to the performance, I changed from Intelliscreen to LockInfo. And in my opinion it is definitly sufficient to only have the pure information (of new mails etc) displayed. The rest can be easily accessed through the original programs.
So I don’t need Intelliscreen anymore, LockInfo is satisfying.

But what I really need is that ToDo-PlugIn for modified LockInfos. When this is implemented, I’ll definitly buy it.

Is it possible to transfer my existing configuration into the upgraded current version?

    • The configurations are near identical between older beta releases and the current release. There should be no problem with the update.

  3. I like the lockscreen, and it might be my first purchase from cydia. I like that it has it’s own page too, so you don’t just need it on the lock screen.

on a side note, I like that wallpaper and dock. What is that Brooke ?

  4. Although I don’t feel a performance hit from Intelliscreen, everyone else seems to complain about it, so maybe I just don’t know what I’m missing. In any case, I’d love to try LockScreen, except one of the best parts of intelliscreen is getting my company’s secure rss proj. management feed on my lock screen.

Any chance of that being implemented with lockscreen?

    • RSS is at the top of the plugin list, along with Todo/Things, Facebook and Twitter. I’m hoping to have some of these plugins out in the next few weeks.

    • That is excellent. I hope you can support secure RSS though, as that seems to escape most RSS readers. :-)

I’m gonna disable intelliscreen and give your app a try for this week.

I wonder if by the time one adds all these plugins, if the performance hit will be as much as intelliscreen – ha! … but I guess at least people can choose what to install and what not to.

  5. hey i have a question, i used this for the itouch 1gen and i dont see the app on the settings menu. The lockscreen works since i am able to see the weather information and even my calendar but i was just curious that the app doesnt show up on my settings page. Is there a way to change that? i dont mind much but i was just curious…

Most likely, preferenceloader isn’t loaded on your phone. Check in Cydia to make sure it got installed (Cydia seems to ignore that dependency sometimes).

    • I too have the same problem and have tried to reinstall lockinfo/ Preference loader but the lockinfo is still missing from the settings screen

  6. All these days i was using Lock Calendar App.. and was more than satisfied with it…. and while searching for some lock screens i accidently installed LockInfo.. BOOM…. and there i was with one of the most useful app :)
