Video of Firmware 4.0 Multitasking Feature

Below is a quick demo video of the new multitasking feature that will be available with the 4.0 firmware.

This is going to be Sweet! I just hope that it will be available on the 3G and not only on the 3GS. At least that is what i have heard online.

And i really hope the battery does not drain much…will see.

  Sorry to dissapont ya but its the iphone 3GS and lates ipod touch that will have multitasking. This is because the latest ipod touch and the iphone 3GS have double the ram of the iphone 3G. The iphone 3G would run sluggish a little bit if it used the multitasking feature and apple doesnt allow any feature if they cant get it to run really smooth

Weird that the developers have to add the feature into all of their apps. I’m going to assume that is because of the way Apple implemented multitasking. On my jailbroken device Pandora and any other streaming app I want works in the background without the developer having to add anything additional. But as Apple has said in their keynote they could have implemented backgrounding and have battery and foreground apps suffer and phone performance suffer. They must have found some slim way to do this which I think is good. Once all apps are actually updated to the 4.0 software it really won’t matter I guess.
