It seems that iOS 4.1 has indeed been released today as speculated. Below is the change log for the new iOS. Some of the major features of the firmware include; Game Center, HDR Photography, iTunes TV show rentals and a bug fix for the iPhone 4 proximity sensor (which we know many will appreciate… including Doug’s grandpa!).

– Play multi-player games by auto-matching with other players
– View LEaderboards and Achievements
– Discover new games from friends
• High dynamic range (HDR) photos on iPhone 4
• Support for TV show rentals on iTunes
• Ability to upload HD videos to YouTube and MobileMe over Wi-Fi on iPhone 4
• Additional support for AVRCP-supported accessories, including next & previous track control
• FaceTime calling directly from Favorites
• Bug fixes, including:
– iPhone 4 proximity sensor performance
– iPhone 3G performance
– Nike+ iPod fixes
– Bluetooth improvements

Notes:
- Game Center requires iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 2G or later
- You will need to have iTunes 10 in-order to upgrade to iOS 4.1

You do not need to be on iTunes 10 to update. I’m still on 9.2 and just successfully updated my iPhone 4 to 4.1.
I had to restore my iPhone 3GS but it was already jailbroken… Now that it has been updated to 4.1 is there some kinda way I can jailbreak it again or get cydia app
