Smoog Theme – Background for WeatherIcon Mod

It seems that quite a few themes have been getting updated lately to accommodate both the LiveClock and WeatherIcon mods. One theme that I have always been a fan of has received one of these updates! You are now able to install a weather icon for the Smoog theme (via BigBoss) that supports the WeatherIcon mod. The title of the package is Smoog Weather Icon Background and it is available via the david.ashman.com source. If you are also a fan of the LiveClock mod, you can choose the Live lock Dark option in WinterBoard and it looks decent with the theme as well. Though, I would love to see another update that adds an icon that is actually compatible with the LiveClock mod. [Read more…]

New Poll – Have you paid for a theme?

I have always been curious about this… do people pay for themes? I personally have never paid for a theme in Cydia but honestly, that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t if I found one I really liked. I think Doug has bought a theme or two. If you have purchased a theme… let us know in the comments which one and if you thought it was worth the $.

Side Note: Not gonna lie… Smoog is still my favorite theme… I’m rockin’ it right now!

Tenuis Matte – SBSettings Theme

Today, while we were in the Apple store, I happened to look over at Doug’s iPhone while he was using SBSettings and to my astonishment saw a beautiful SBSettings theme. Tenuis Matte is a clean SBSettings theme that just happens to go nicely with my favorite WinterBoard theme… Smoog. I think I may actual prefer it to the Smoog SBSettings theme. Anyway, what I then realized is that Tenuis Matte is actually a theme that comes with SBSettings (who knew!)… here I am installing themes when the best one comes with the app! Matte Battery 2.0 – Lock Screen Battery Mod

Matte Battery is a lock screen battery mod that changes the battery displayed while charging your iPhone or iPod touch from glossy to matte. The colors are still the same as the stock lock screen battery… green and red. I have seen this lock screen battery used in a few themes however, this gives you the ability to use the battery with any theme. I am currently using it with the Smoog theme.

Sista – iPhone and iPod touch Theme

Normally I stick to writing about themes that can be installed via Cydia however, there are so many AWESOME themes that can only be installed via SSH… and Sista is one of them.

I found Sista, by SoundForge, on MacThemes and instantly loved it! It is a nicely designed, clean theme. The theme’s package contains a decent amount of icons and a .PDS file so that you can create your own. I will be honest, I’m partial to the Smoog theme via the BigBoss source but, it’s nice to change it up every once and a while! Below is info about the theme and a link to the download.

WinterBoard Mods

Below are a few WinterBoard mods that have come out recently. There are two themes; My Pink Theme (via iSpazio) and Unreal (via BigBoss). The other mod is a clear lockscreen mod titled Best Clear Lockscreen (via BigBoss). This will make your slider background, keypad background and clock background transparent. It looks really nice if you also have a transparent theme on your iPhone. I’m all about transparent themes though lately I have been very satisfied with the Smoog theme and have been keeping it around. What I would really like is a nice rustic brown theme (I’m feeling winterish). I thought I was going to get that with the FootLight theme (via BigBoss) but, it only modded a few icons and I only really liked the Wallpaper and the Safari, iPod, Settings and Camera icons. All of these mods are activate via WinterBoard. Check out the screenshots below.
