BigBoss has a great article on his site explaining “What To Expect with 2.0.” It quickly explains what firmware 2.0 and the AppStore mean for the current jailbroken applications and answers a few Frequently Asked Questions. You will want to check it out!
Sprint is supposedly spending $100 million on advertising their new Instinct to compare it to the iPhone. What I’m gonna do is post the commercials here, list their points and I’d like to hear from everyone on your thoughts. I say the 3G iPhone will be better. I also haven’t read anything on if the Instinct allows for 3rd party apps.

This is the most recent claimed photos of the iPhone 2.0. It does seem to match the recent claimed template images of the iPhone 2.0. Notice in the template image the location change of the proximity and light sensors and the addition of a third sensor which I hope is a camera. Also the changes at the bottom where the mic/speaker is; possible dual microphones for echo cancelation and stereo speakers? And last but not least, colors! Red, white and black. We’re just gonna post the pics and let you decide if they’re real. Let us know in the comments what you think.
If you read our news page you already know most of this info because everyone is talking about it. Now of course Apple hasn’t announced this but there are so many signs like this internal memo from UK carrier O2:
“Due to the highly successful sales of the Apple 8GB iPhone, supply chains have run out of stock and will not be replenishing stock of this product as it has now gone to end of life.”
The 3G iPhone will most likely be announced during the WWDC, June 9th – 13th with sizes of 16GB & 32GB and minor design changes. Rumor lists include true GPS, thinner design and camera in front (video chat).

Well, I finally had a chance to update my iTunes to version 7.6.2! Oh…for those of you who don’t know…there is an update to iTunes! :) It is a 66.19MB download and below is what Apple has to say about version 7.6.2.
Rent and download your favorite movies with iTunes on your computer or directly to your living room on Apple TV. Enjoy rented movies in sizes up to 720p HD with surround sound on your Apple TV and sizes up to DVD-quality on your computer. Transfer your rented movies from iTunes to your iPod or iPhone and enjoy them on the go.
There’s speculation that the 3G iPhone will be released soon due to Apple Stores all over the country being sold out of iPhones. Or, could it be just a memory upgrade? I know, now this would be sweet…Colored iPhones. They always do this, release a new product, then release it in different colors. Let us know in the comments what you think’s going on and if your area is sold out!
Have you read all the blogs about SDK but still wish you could have seen the actually Press Release….well, you can! The full Press Release is available to be watched HERE on Apple’s website.
WoW! So far this press conference has been everything we hoped it would be! The SDK is said to be the exact same SDK apple uses to create there applications. They brought a few Dev companies in and gave them 2 weeks to develop applications. SalesForce.com, Sega, EA, AOL each presented games/applications they developed in those 2 weeks and the results are amazing! The SDK developed applications will be available through App Store a new application that will live on your iPhone. While Companies will be able to charge for their applications, there is also said to be free applications as well! [Read more...]
I’ve been dreaming of what the SDK will bring and I can think of some pretty sweet new apps but, I want to hear from you. Tell us in the comments what you’re hopes and dreams are. Hopefully some developers read this site and will get some ideas. Here’s my wish/prediction list:
Flickr – Imagine if Flickr themselves built not only an app that lets you browse your photos, sets, etc. but, if you could take a photo with your built in camera and then add tags, title, description, rotate, set privacy settings and then upload it right to your account. I’m sure there are even more features you could dream up but this is a start.

We finally have a release date for SDK! By the sounds of it Apple is planning quite the event for March 6th. So, no more speculation needed, we finally have some hard facts…though I do feel like Steve is letting me down a little I know I can quote him saying, “The end of February” on more than one occasion! Anyway…I can’t wait! We will keep you updated!
1.1.4 firmware has been released today. Do not update if you want to keep all your programs and themes. There is no know jailbreak at this time. I am trying to find out what the update changes but I’m assuming it has to do with the SDK. Please comment with your source if you know what the update is about. Thanks!
*UPDATE* Everywhere I’ve read says so far only “bug fixes”. Erica Sadun is upgrading now so we’ll know more soon!
*UPDATE 2* ZiPhone is going to work to jailbreak 1.1.4, we just have to be patient while he tweaks it. See ZiPhone.org for info.
Well, we are in the last week of February and the long anticipated SDK release is schedule for “the end of February.” Sticking with Apple’s theme of releasing something new every Tuesday since January 1st…we might assume that we will see SDK tomorrow (but you never know…Apple might throw us a curve ball…they do “technically” have four more days in February. Maybe they will release it on Leap Day!). I personally am totally excited to see what Apple has in store for the iPhone! Whenever we finally see this quote, unquote SDK…AppleiPhoneSchool will be ready to welcome it to our website!
