Last Ten Games on Sale for “25 Games ‘Til Xmas Sale”

EA Mobile has decided to put ten games on sale until the end of their “25 Game ‘Til Xmas Sale” promotion. You can get the following games, for the prices listed below, until the end of the sale. I’m not sure if they will also continue to release daily games on sale or if these are the final ten. Some of these game have already been on sale, some have not.

The update to version 1.6.5 of AppleTap changes the lower menu bar. Instead of including; Features, Apple, Search and Mac vs PC…it now includes Featured, Apple and More. In the more options, you will find; Mac vs PC, Search, and the Timeline. There have not been any changes to the functionality of the options, they have just been moved. In the Apple option, the classic section has been removed and only contains current products. There were also a few commercials added to the Mac vs PC section, a few more products added to the Timeline and the apps files have been cleaned up. The only issue I am having with this application is that the menu buttons are hard to select again. We went through this when the application was first released however, the developer fixed it after a few updates. Now that the menu has changed, the options are hard to select again. I’m sure we will see a fix in the next few updates. You can get AppleTap via the ModMyiFone source.

The update to version 1.6 of AppleTap and the quick update to version 1.6.1 make one change to the application and fix a few bugs. The one change to the application is a good change…it makes scrolling through the pictures MUCH easier. Instead of tapping once to go to the next picture, double tapping to go back to a previous picture and tapping with two figures to get back to to get back to the previous menu…now you can just scroll through the pictures and double tap to get back to the menu. AppleTap 1.5

The update to AppleTap 1.5 once again makes quite a few changes to the application. Not only does the app have a new icon, it has a new splash screen as well. When you open the application, you will also notice that the Featured Page has been updated and looks much cleaner (I like that it is all roundy now!). There have also been two changes in the lower menu bar; the apple icon has changed and the option that used to be Settings is now Mac vs. PC (which, we will talk about in a minute).

If you select the Apple option on the lower menu bar and select one of the products under the Current products, you will see a few new features. Under the Media heading, there is a new Advertisement option. This will open a YouTube video advertisement for the product. Also, if Apple has not created a guided tour of a product, the Guided Tour option will not show up under the Media heading for that product. Under the More Info heading, there are two new options; Special Deals and Wikipedia. Special Deals will open a browser bringing you to the product on Macmall.com and Wikipedia will open a browser bringing you to the Wikipedia page for that product. If you scroll to the bottom of the product’s page, there is now a short description of the product.

The Search option has been fixed so that you are able to search for items containing one or two words. However, it does not work for searches containing three or more words. The new Mac vs. PC option is really cool. When selected, it will bring up a list of all the Mac vs PC commercials listed by the year they were released. When you choose a commercial, it will open it in a Safari browser. The videos are hosted on the developer’s website. I am having a few issues with the videos downloading slowly and the sound cutting out just after the videos start but, that could be something on my end. The last change to the application is one that I really like…the buttons on the lower menu bar are larger making it A LOT easier to select them! AppleTap is available through the ModMyiFone source.

The update to version 1.4 of AppleTap makes a few changes to the application. The first change you will notice is a new icon. Once the application is open, you will also notice that the Featured page as some additional information about the application. On the Apple page, when you select a product, there is a new option called Guided Tour. The Guided Tour option will open a video in YouTube with Apple’s guided tour about the product. Not all the products have guided tours yet. The update also adds additional pictures to the Pictures option when in a product’s page.

There are now three pictures for each product. To move to the next picture, tap once. To got back to a previous picture, double tap and to get back to the previous menu, tap with two fingers. The Timeline option has been changed to display the products by single year instead of ten years and is now complete. The Google search still only works with single word search, maybe we will see a fix in the next version. AppleTap is available through he ModMyiFone source.

The update to version 1.3 of AppleTap adds a Google tab in the upper right corner of the Search page. When selected, it allows you to search Google right in the application. The only issue I have found with the search is that if you search for anything that is two words for example, Apple TV or iPhone 3G…the search doesn’t work. However, it works fine when searching for something that is only one word. AppleTap is available through the ModMyiFone source.

AppleTap is an application that gives you information about Apple Products. AppleTap opens to the featured screen where you are given a list of Future Features and the developer’s Requests. If you select the Apple option on the lower menu bar, you will see a list of Apple’s current products. There is also a Classic category however, there is no information available in that category yet. In the Current category, if you tap on a product you will get more information about that product including; the Release Date, the Latest Update date, Pictures of the product and the option be directed to Apple’s website with more information about the product. It looks as though there will also be some pricing and configuration information available in the future. To get back to the main menu, tap Back in the upper left corner. Back on the main menu, there is also a Timeline feature.

Here you will see a timeline of Apple products starting with the Apple 1 in the 1970′s and going to the MacMini in the 2000′s. At this time, you cannot select any of the products to get more information about them but, maybe we will see that in a future version of the app. There are also two additional options on the lower menu bar; Search and Settings. As of now, neither of these options are available. AppleTap is available through the ModMyiFone source.
