Change the Font Color and Style for LockInfo
Lockinfo White Text is a mod that changes the font color and style for LockInfo (a feature-packed lock screen mod). Normally, on LockInfo, the title font is white and the rest of the text is gray. This mod changes all the text to white and italicizes the title font to help differentiate between the title and the rest of the text. This mod would come in handy if you have a lock screen background that makes it difficult to read the gray text. Overall the mod worked exactly how I expected it to. I was able to activate and deactivate it without a problem.

No Badges – Remove Home Screen Badges
No Badges is a simple hack that removes the badges from the icons on your device’s homescreen. The hack is super simple… once you install it via Cydia and respring your springboard… you will no longer have badges. There are no setting for the app and it will not put an icon on your springboard. It just does the mod automatically when the app is installed. To get your badges back, just go into Cydia and remove the app. No Badges worked perfectly when I tested both installing and removing it. A nice little hack if it is what you are looking for. Personally, I would love to see the app have a few options such as the ability to turn off badges for specific applications (like the Mail app!) and leave badges on other apps. SwitcherPlus – Adds Multitasking Ability on Lock Screen

SwitcherPlus is a mod that adds the ability to use the multitasking dock from your lock screen. Once the app has been installed in Cydia, you are able to use the complete functionality of multitasking from your lock screen.
If you do not have a passcode set for your device, and you select an application from the multitasking dock while on the lock screen, it will automatically take you from the lock screen directly into that application. If you do have a passcode, and you select an application from the multitasking dock while on the lock screen, it will require you to enter your passcode and then will bring you directly into the application you selected.
I did notice that after you select an app from the multitasking dock (while on the lock screen), the passcode keyboard disappears pretty quickly. So, you will want to start typing in your passcode as soon as the keyboard appears or it will disappear and you will have to go back into multitasking and select your app again. Hopefully this will be fixed with an update. NOTE: This can actually be changed in the app’s settings. If you go into the Lock Screen Mode option and then the Dim after dismiss option… you can increase the time before the screen dims and thus the keyboard disappears.

Direct Closer – Quickly Close Multitasking Apps

Direct Closer is a simple little hack that, when you double-tap the Home Button to get to the multitasking apps, it automatically puts them into “wiggle” mode so they can be removed. Normally, you would have to double-tap the Home Button and then tap and hold an icon in the multitasking dock in order to get the apps into “wiggle” mode so that they can be removed. This app just makes this process a little faster by automatically putting them in “wiggle” mode. However, in order to switch to another app (using the multitasking dock), you have to tap the Home Button once to turn off the “wiggle” mode and then tap the app you would like to switch too. One of the best hacks for the iPhone, SBSettings, now works with firmware 4.0. This hack let’s you swipe the status bar and a drop down menu pops out with all kinds of quick settings like brightness adjustment and toggles for wifi, bluetooth and 3G. There are different themes, all kinds of info like running processes, IP address, & memory. Best of all, it’s free. This is a must have app!

ATTENTION 4.0 USERS: Currently an activator bug prevents the SBSettings window from appearing in some apps. For the time being, load settings, activator, and set SBSettings also to short hold home so you can hold home button to also bring up sbsettings in apps.
Backgrounder Update – New Settings, New Features and Fixes

Backgrounder, a hack that allows applications to run in the background, has been updated to version svn.r432 (and svn.r436). The new version actually makes a decent amount of changes to the hack (full change log below).
The overall settings of the app have changed… including more description about each setting… which is nice.
In the Global option of the settings, you will find quite a few more features including the ability to choose the type of Backgrounding Method (Off, Native and Backgrounder), choose the Backgrounding State (Enable at Launch or Stay Enabled – previously Backgrounding Persists), the ability to turn on a Status Bar Icon and the options to Fallback to Native and Minimize on Toggle.

iAwesome – WinterBoard Theme

iAwesome is a WinterBoard theme that contains 304 redesigned icons (though all icons are modded… more to come on that), wallpaper, status bar, lock screen wallpaper, lock screen battery, badges, pop-ups and quite a few UI mods. The nice thing about this theme is that it contains an icon overlay which means that all icons are modded… not just icons that have been designed for the theme. If you go into the App Store, you will see that even the icons in the AppStore are modded with the overlay.
That is good news for those of you who like this theme because it means all the icons are your device will be modded… which is a rare occurrence. Check out the screenshots below.

WiCarrier – Change Carrier in Status Bar to WiFi Network Name

WiCarrier is a pretty cool little hack that changes the carrier name on your status bar to display the WiFi network name when connected to WiFi. For example, our WiFi network at home is ahhyeah. So, when I am connected to our home WiFi, instead of saying AT&T on the status bar it says ahhyeah. Another cool little feature of the hack is that you can tap the WiFi network and it will display your local IP address. When you are no longer connected to WiFi, it will go back to displaying your carrier name.
This hack works in fine if your carrier name has been changed using MakeItMine (or similar). When you are no longer connected to WiFi, it will switch back to your modded carrier name.

SBSetting 3.0.9 – Rotation, iPad Integration & New Features

Yesterday, SBSettings was updated to version 3.0.9-11 and released in BigBoss’s main source. Below is a full change log for the update but, a few of the major changes include rotation, better iPad integration and a few new options.
I was pretty stoked when I heard about the new rotation feature however, it was mostly created for iPad users. When your iPhone or iPod touch is in landscape mode and you swipe to launch SBSetting, it hangs off all weird. You are still able to use the toggles however, you are unable to get to the other options such as More, Refresh, Dock, Respring and Power. BigBoss has said that he does not plan to fix this issue due to the fact that it was basically created for iPad users. However, it can be disabled.

Tab+ is a nice little hack that allows you to have more than eight tabs open at a time in Safari on your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad (allows iPad to have more than nine tabs open at a time). There is not much to this one… just install the application via Cydia, respring your device, open Safari and voilà… you can have more than eight tabs at a time.

High Tech is a WinterBoard theme that is available in four colors; USSR (red), Rave-Up (blue), Clover (green) and Negative Cells (orange). All four themes contain the same mods (just in the different colors); 72 icons, 5 wallpapers, dock, loading screens, lock screen battery, badges, weather app mod, phone app mod and quite a few other UI mods.
The themes also contain UI sounds. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of UI sounds. If you are like me and would rather not have them, you can ssh (or use the iFile app right on your device) and locate the Library/Themes/the name of the theme you are using (ex. High Tech USSR.theme) and delete the UISounds folder. If you don’t want to delete the folder, you can just rename it to something else.
