iBlueNova, an application that allows the transfer of files via Bluetooth, was released yesterday. Before you purchase the app, you are able to test it with a 15 day trial. To download the trial, select the Purchase button in the upper right corner (where the Install button normally is). This will not actually purchase the app but, will install the free 15 day trial.

Once installed, the app is decently easy to use. It allows you to transfer Pictures, Music, Videos or Other Files. You can view all the available Bluetooth connections in the Device Discovery option. Here you are also able to view the strength of the device’s WiFi, the device’s name, Address and Class as well as Favorite specific devices. You can also view your transfer activity allowing you to see the progress of transfers or stop a transfer.

The Setting contain quite a few options including the ability to set an authorization security pin which requires a pin to authorize a connection. You also have the ability to choose how you would like images sent. They are sent as .png’s by default however, you can change it so that they are sent as .jpeg. You can also choose to have incoming images saved to your Camera Roll. You are also able to view and change the save paths for Pictures, Music, Videos and Other files which is helpful.

Overall, the app is pretty easy to use. Just find the image or file you would like to transfer, select it and select the device you would like it sent to. I did have quite a few crashes and a few times in which the file transfer failed. So, the app does need a little work but, it’s a good start.

Note: If you would like to transfer files from iPhone to iPhone, both iPhones will need to have iBlueNova installed and running.

Meu is a WinterBoard theme that contains around 40 icons (some of which are alternate icons), wallpaper, dock, statusbar, badges and a lock screen battery. The stock theme does not contain a Calendar, Stocks or App Store icon. However, I made a few icons really quick that you can manually add to the theme (see below). The theme does contain a .psd icon template allowing you to create your own icons. You can get Meu via the iSpazio source.

Adding icons:
1. Right click on the icons below and save them to your computer
2. SSH into your iPhone or iPod touch
3. Locate the Library/Themes/Meu/Icons folder on your device
4. Drag the Calendar, Stocks and App Store icons (that you saved to your computer in step 1) from your computer into the Library/Themes/Meu/Icons folder
5. Respring your device
6. You should see the new icons

Note: In order to get the Calendar icon to work correctly, you will also need to ssh the Info.plist file below into the Library/Themes/Meu folder.

Another Note: I did create an alternate Messages icon (see below). If you would like to use it, be sure to rename the Messages icon in the Library/Themes/Meu/Icons folder to Messages_original.png (or something of the sort) so that when you drag the new one in, it doesn’t overwrite the original.

How to Install a Theme:

3. Search for Meu in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Meu Theme.

Download the Info.plist file by right clicking and saving the file to your computer. You can then drag the file from your computer into the Library/Themes/Meu folder on your device – Info.plist

PreTend is a WinterBoard theme created by james and contains 27 icons, a statusbar, dock, badges, page dots, statusbar icon mods and four wallpapers. The theme also contains an icon template and a wallpaper template. Both are .psd files. The only manual modding I had to do on this theme is that I ssh’d in and changed the Music.png to iPod.png so that there was an icon for the iPod application (the icons are located in the Themes/Pre-Tend/Icons folder). Below are screenshots of the theme as well as screenshots of all four wallpapers available in the theme’s folder. You can get PreTend via the iSpazio source.

How to Install

Rezon is a WinterBoard theme that contains 65 icons, wallpaper, dock, status bar, lock screen background, SMS mod, badges and a few other mods. The icons for this theme are a smaller size than the stock icons which works well if you are using the FiveIRows or FCSB. You can get Rezon via the iSpazio source.

How to Install

2. Make sure you have the iSpazio source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Rezon in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Rezon Theme.

Today, the iSpazio source received an update to version 0-5. I have been experiencing a lot of issues with the iSpazio source lately however, it seems that the update has fixed a majority of those issues. So, if you are also experiencing issues, I would suggest installing the update.

Sobrys is a WinterBoard theme that contains 43 icons, a dock, wallpaper, statusbar, lockscreen battery, sliders and iPod mod. Like the majority of themes, this theme is not packaged exactly correctly which means, in order for the theme to display correctly, you will need to ssh into the Library/Themes/Sobrys/Icons folder and change the Ipod.png to iPod.png. Also, there is no Messages/Text icon. I changed the Chat.png icon to Message.png so that I would have an icon for the stock Messages application. You can get Sobrys via the iSpazio source.

How to Install

2. Make sure you have the ispazio source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Sobrys in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Sobrys Theme.

Steampunk is a WinterBoard theme that contains 217 icons, a dock, badges, sliders, lock screen battery, lock screen background, wallpaper…etc. Due to the design of the dock, the theme looks the best with only three rows of icons or four rows of icons without the icon label’s turned off. Also, this is an Italian theme so, many of the icons need to be renamed (see list below for details). Other than that, it does contain some pretty cool icons. You can get Steampunk via the iSpazio source.

Note: The LiveClock mod works in conjunction with this theme.

To rename the icons, ssh into the Library/Themes/Steampunk by parbus/Icons folder and change the following file names:

oGn v3 is a colorful theme that contains 875 square icons, wallpaper, dock, status bar, badges, sliders, SMS bubbles and a few other cool little mods. You can get oGn v3 via the iSpazio source.

2. Make sure you have the iSpazio source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for oGn v3 in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the oGn v3 Theme.

Boxxy cons Theme is a unique theme made up of small icons. The theme contains a dock, wallpaper and 29 icons. Unfortunately, the theme is not packaged for the 3.0 firmware which means if you are on 3.0, you will need to ssh in and change Text.png to Messages.png. The iTunes icon is also packages incorrectly and is spelled iTunea.png and need to be changes to iTunes.png. You can find the icons in the Library/Theme/Boxxycons.theme/Icons folder.

The theme changes the size of the rest of your icons so that they are the same size as the icons created for the theme (it doesn’t resize web clips). You can get Boxxy Cons Theme via the BigBoss source.

How to Install

3. Search for iBoxxy Cons Theme in Cydia, run the install.

Advanced Lock is a lock screen mod. It looks like a log in screen in which you have to “scan” your finger to enter. You actually have to swipe your finger for it to work…you cannot just hold your finger on the spot. When you swipe your finger, a blue finger print will show up. This mod can be activated/deactivate via WinterBoard and is available for both the iPhone and iPod Touch. You can get Advanced Lock through the iSpazio source.
