Suave – WinterBoard Theme

##ICON_NAME## suave2 Suave is a very nicely designed WinterBoard theme by Thyraz. The theme contains 114 icons including; icons for all the stock applications, a few additional applications and quite a few alternate icons. The theme also includes a wallpaper, statusbar, page dots, badges and a dock. The icons for this theme are smaller than the stock icon size however, the theme contains mask that re-sizes all the icons to match… even icons that are not actually modded by the theme. It does not however, re-size web clip icons.

There is a .psd icon template located in the theme’s folder (Library/Themes/Suave.theme) for those of you who would like to create your own icons. For those of you who would rather not create your own icons, you can get additional icons by visiting the theme’s original post on MacThemes. Suave is available via the modmyi source.

Amphibious – WinterBoard Theme

##ICON_NAME## amphibious2 Amphibious is an extremely unique theme. Normally, I’m not big into “themed” themes, but this one is very well designed. The theme contains quite a few mods including a Weather app mod, iPod app mod, lockscreen mod, lockscreen battery mod, badges, page dots, statusbar, dock, wallpaper and 50 icons. The app also includes 7 alternate wallpapers, an alternate dock, an alternate statubar bar and quite a few alternate icons (these alternate mods would all have to be viewed/changed via ssh).

The developer of the theme does give you a few options in WinterBoard including the ability to turn on/off the Weather app mod, the iPod app mod, the lockscreen battery mod, the Digital LiveClock mod, the Lockscreen mod and the option to choose a 4 icon or 5 icon dock wallpaper. This makes the theme easily customizable.

WeatherIcon Update – Firmware 3.1 Compatible

WeatherIcon Over the week-end WeatherIcon, a mod that displays the current temperature and weather conditions in the Weather icon, received two updates. The first, version 2.2.5, made the application compatible with the 3.1 firmware… which I know many of you have been waiting for! Illumine – WinterBoard Theme

Illumine illumine Illumine, by iKon, is a WinterBoard theme that that contains 2,537 icons, 2 docks, status bar, 6 wallpapers, badges, lock screen battery, page dots… etc. There a quite a few things to note about this theme.

First off, once you install the theme, you get a few options in WinterBoard including; the theme itself, a weathicon mod background, an SMS icon for 3.x firmware, the option for the no-glow dialpad and the option for a green dialpad.

Second, this theme “mods” all icons (except web clips). It makes all icons small with a glow below them. Not every icon is necessarily designed specifically for the theme (though, it does contain 2,537 icons!) but, at least they all have the same shape and look! I love when themes do that! [Read more…]

Popup Blocker Update – Quick Dismiss Integration

Popup Blocker Popup Blocker, an application that allows you to control the popups on your iPhone and/or iPod touch, was updated to version 1.1.0 and 1.1.1. The 1.1.0 update added two new features; the ability to control the Airplane Mode Warning popup and the integration of “Quick Dismiss.” The Quick Dismiss feature allows you to use your Home Button to dismiss popups. Dark Wood – WinterBoard Theme

Dark Wood darkwood3 Dark Wood is a WinterBoard theme that contains 93 icons, a dock, wallpaper, statusbar, badges and a few other UI mods. There are a few issues with this theme, it is not packages for the 3.0 firmware so you will need to ssh into the Library/Themes/Dark Wood/Icons folder and change Text.png to Messages.png. Also, there is no Stocks icon so I changed the Charts-Excel.png to Stocks.png. You can get Dark Wood via the modmyi source.

How to Install

2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the modmmyi source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Dark Wood in Cydia, run the install.

Akanaz GlassOrb – WinterBoard Theme

Akanaz GlassOrb img_0071 Akanaz GlassOrb is a WinterBoard theme that contains 84 icons, a dock, wallpaper, statusbar, lock wallpaper, sliders, lock screen battery and other UI mods. The theme is not packaged for the 3.x firmware so in order for it to display correctly you will need to ssh into the Library/Themes/Akanaz GlassOrb/Icons folder and change the Text.png to Messages.png. You will also need to change the Ipod.png to iPod.png. After that, it should display correctly. You can get Akanaz GlassOrb via the modmyi source.

Battery Control – Additional Statusbar Battery Options

Battery Control Battery Control, an application that allows you to control your Status bar battery image and percentage, was updated. I actually haven’t reviewed this app since it was first released so, I thought I would catch it up since it has had some pretty cool updates.

When the app was first released, it was pretty basic, it only contained a few features… the ability to turn on/off Show Battery and turn on/off Show Percentage. Since then, an Accuracy feature has been added that allows you to choose if you want the accuracy of your battery percentage to be based on the official SDK or based on more accurate battery percentages like SBSettings numeric battery or the default setting. Popup Blocker Update – Additional Pop Ups, 14 Day Trial

Popup Blocker Some where along the line I missed the update forPopup Blocker, an application that allows you to block/control the pop ups on your iPhone or iPod touch. As I’m going back through and reinstalling all my favorite apps (due to the fact that I shattered my iPhone a few days ago)… I realized that it had an update. So here you go, a little late!

The update to version 1.0.3 of Popup Blocker adds a few new features and includes a bug fixe. You are now able to block/control Push Notification pop ups and Call Permission Alert pop ups. The update also fixes an issue with the Wake on Alert option. Another new feature I noticed is that the app now has a 14 day trial… I’m pretty sure it didn’t have a trial in the previous version. However, if you use the 14 day trial, I guarantee you will be hooked and end up buying the app. At $0.99, it’s well worth it! You can get Popup Blocker via the modmyi source. [Read more…]

Lockscreen Dim Delay – Control your Lockscreen Dim Delay

Lockscreen Dim Delay Lockscreen Dim Delay is an application that allows you to choose the amount of time before your lock screen turns off. Once Lockscreen Dim Delay is installed, it is added into your stock Settings application. Here you can choose a dim delay anywhere from 1 second to 60 seconds. If you set the dim delay for 1 second, your iPhone or iPod touch’s lockscreen will only stay on for one second before turning off. If you set the dim delay for 60 seconds, your iPhone or iPod touch’s lockscreen will only stay on for sixty seconds before turning off… etc. [Read more…]
