Popup Blocker, an application that allows you to control the popups on your iPhone and/or iPod touch, was updated to version 1.1.0 and 1.1.1. The 1.1.0 update added two new features; the ability to control the Airplane Mode Warning popup and the integration of “Quick Dismiss.” The Quick Dismiss feature allows you to use your Home Button to dismiss popups. You have the option to use the Quick Dismiss feature on both the LockScreen and the SpringBoard. The update to version 1.1.1 contained a bug fix – see complete change logs below.

Some where along the line I missed the update forPopup Blocker, an application that allows you to block/control the pop ups on your iPhone or iPod touch. As I’m going back through and reinstalling all my favorite apps (due to the fact that I shattered my iPhone a few days ago)… I realized that it had an update. So here you go, a little late!

The update to version 1.0.3 of Popup Blocker adds a few new features and includes a bug fixe. You are now able to block/control Push Notification pop ups and Call Permission Alert pop ups. The update also fixes an issue with the Wake on Alert option. Another new feature I noticed is that the app now has a 14 day trial… I’m pretty sure it didn’t have a trial in the previous version. However, if you use the 14 day trial, I guarantee you will be hooked and end up buying the app. At $0.99, it’s well worth it! You can get Popup Blocker via the modmyi source.

Popup Blocker is an application that allows you to control just about every popup that you could get on an iPhone and/or iPod touch.

Once installed, you can get to the app in your stock Settings application. Here you have the options to enable/disable the application, Block Away Items, turn on/off Wake On Alert (this turns on your screen when you receive an alert) and set Alerts.

In the Alerts option you have the ability to turn on/off Block When Unlocked, Block When Locked and Wake On Alert for the following popups;

Doug has been waiting for an application like this for a while now. It is a very simple, yet extremely useful application. It does cost $0.99 USD via PayPal.
