The only visual change with version 1.2 of RepoName is a new icon. You can get RepoName via the BigBoss source.

RepoName 1.0b

The update to version 1.0b of RepoName, a sources searching application, adds it to the BigBoss source and makes a few visual changes to the application. The first change you will notice is that the application has received a new icon. When you open the RepoName, there is also a new lower menu bar with the options; Featured, Search, List and Activate. The Featured option will give you information about the app such as bugs, features, whats to come and credits, the Search option is the same as in previous versions, the List option has not be activated yet and Activate will give you a pop-up with the ability to Activate the application via a donation and the ability to get more info about activation. You can get RepoName in the BigBoss source.

There have been a few changes to RepoName since the last time I did a review of it. The splash screen has changed so that it no longer says Dav Team (because I guess they no longer exist). The UI of the application has also changed slightly…the search bar has been moved to the top of the screen and the enter button goes all the way across the bottom of the screen. The application now contains over 600 applications in it’s database. However, it does still displays weird if the source url is long and goes off the page. But, it is an quick way to look-up what source an application is in. RepoName is avialable through the iSpazio source.

There are no visual changes with version 0.02b of RepoName. Though, it does fix it so that you can enter the title of an app with any capitalization and it will find the app. So, you could search for VWallPaper (when the title of the app is actually vWallpaper) and it will still find it. Though, I am a little confused because the developer’s site says that it is version 0.10b but, I only have 0.02b in the Installer. Though, the capitalization fix works on the version I have (0.02b). So, I’m not sure what the deal is! A very good update none the less! RepoName is available through the DavTeam source.

RepoName is an app that allows you to find an application’s source by entering the title of the application. When the app opens, you will see a place where you can enter the title of the application you are looking for. Once you have entered the title, tap Enter. It will then display the url for the source that the app is in. For example, if I search for StreetFlow, it will give me the url for the iApp-a-Day source. If the source url is too long…just tap on it and use your magnifying glass to scroll over. If it doesn’t find the app it will give you a pop-up saying that it didn’t find that app but, it also gives you the option to request the app. If you select Request This App, it will open an email in which you can email the developer and request the application. I think this app has amazing potential though, at the moment it is very simple. I would love to see a fix so that url doesn’t hang off making you scroll over to see the whole thing. It would also be nice to have the actual name of the source as well as the url for that source. It seems to be able to find most of the basic apps however, there were a few that didn’t find (vWallpaper). I also noticed that is doesn’t always give you the developer’s source for an app. I personally like to have the original developer’s source and not a secondary source. Overall…I can see this being an extremely useful application! RepoName is available through the DavTeam source.
