New Game – Towers of Hanoi

Towers of Hanoi Towers of Hanoi is a new game available in the Installer.app through the Soneso Repository source. The object of the game is to get all of the colored blocks from the first peg to the last peg. You can move the blocks on any peg to get them there but, you can not put a larger block on top of a smaller one…you can only put smaller ones on top of larger ones. You start out in level one just trying to get two blocks moved from the first peg to the last peg. As you pass each level (after you have won, you just tap the screen to get to the next level)…it brings you to the next level which adds another block…until the last level in which you have to move 6 blocks from the first peg to the last peg. It keeps track of your level, amount of moves, times and score in the upper left corner. There is a Reset button in the top left corner however, it resets you back to the first level…it doesn’t just reset that level…also, if you restart the app it brings you back to the first level as well. I LOVE this game…I was totally addicted and played for like 10 minutes until I beat it! But, now that I beat it…I can’t really play it any more!! :( And there isn’t really a way to make more levels…unless you added more blocks I guess. Here are the screenshots:

Domino Update 1.1

Domino There was an update in the Installer.app yesterday for Domino which is in the Soneso Source. The update changed the intro screen…instead of saying human vs human and human vs device it says 1 player or 2 player. Which…I think is a good update!! It also seems like the dominoes move a little differently but, I could just be over analyzing! Here are a few screenshots:

New Game – Domino

Domino Domino is a new game available in the Installer.app through the Soneso Source. The object of the game is to match your dominoes to the center dominoes…the first player to get rid of all of their dominoes is the winner. When the app first opens it gives you the option to human vs human or human vs device. Once you make a selection, you will be brought to the play screen where there are two rows of dominoes…one on the top of the screen and one on the bottom (you need to tip your iPhone horizontally). If you are playing human vs device, your dominoes are the ones on the bottom. The first move goes to the player with the highest number doubles on their dominoes. To move just tap the domino you would like to play. You continue the game by matching your domino to one of the two dominoes in the middle (you can lay your domino on either side as long as it matches). If you do not have any dominoes that match just tap your dominoes and it will draw you two more. If your domino can be played on either side…two little arrows will pop up allowing you to choose the side you would like your domino on. Once one of the players win…you will be given the option to play again by tapping the screen. Here are the screenshots:

New App – iPI

iPI iPI is a new app available in the Installer.app through the Soneso Repository Source. This app is similar to another app by this source called IP however, this app give you a few more features. Instead of getting the three “normal” IP addresses; loop back, local area network and external…it gives you about a million IP addresses (ok, not a million, but a lot). The app opens to the “Compact” screen which shows just your local area network and external IP addresses. There is an All tab at the top of the screen that you can tap to see a full list of your IP addresses. You can refresh your IPs by tapping the Refresh button in the upper right corner. Doug thinks this app is really cool…personally I don’t even know what half of the IP addresses are!! :) Sorry, no screenshots of the actual app!

New Game – ContraSense

ContraSense ContraSense is a new game available in the Installer.app through the Soneso Source. The point of the game is to get your car to the end of the distance without crashing into any other cars. To move your car you just tilt your iPhone. When the app first opens it give you three levels to choose from, level 1 through 3, one being the easiest and three being the hardest. Once you select a level the app opens and you’re off. As you play the distance you have remaining is shown in the upper left corner. If you crash into another car a nice little Crash! screen pops up and gives you the option to play again. I have no idea what it does when you win….BECAUSE I CAN’T GET PAST THE FIRST LEVEL!!! Can you sense the frustration!! :) There is a little bit of play if you hit another car in the front bumper but, if you touch it anywhere near the rear bumper you will crash! Overall, a pretty cool game. Here are the screenshots:

UPDATE: I have FINALLY beat Level 1 – thank you, thank you! YAY! Check out the new screenshot (proof)!

4Balls Update 1.2

4Balls There was an update for 4Balls…it adds some cool new features. It now gives you instructions on how to play the game and the first time you get to the play screen it gives you instructions on how to move the balls. It also says, Thinking, while your iPhone decides where it is going to move. But, the best change in the update, is when someone wins it tells you who won and shows you how they won by putting little red dots on the 4 balls that are in a row. Before, a window would pop up saying who won and giving you the option to play again and you didn’t really get to see how the player won. To start a new game you just tap on the screen. A very cool new update! Here are some screenshots:

4Balls

4Balls 4Balls is a new game from the Soneso source. It is similar to Connect Four. When you first open the app you have an option to play Human vs. human (so 2 player), Human vs. device (which means you get to move first) or Device vs. human (the iPhone gets to move first). You then get the option of what level you would like to play at…one through three…one being the least difficult, three the most difficult. Once you have chosen your level, the game will begin…in order to play the game correctly you will need to tilt your iPhone to the right so the ball is at the top on the page…you then move the ball above the column you would like it to go in by dragging it. Once the ball is above the correctly column just drag it down. The next player will then move. You win by getting four of your color balls in a row either vertically, horizontally or diagonally (the other player wins by doing the same as well…so you will want to play defense and offense). When one of the players wins a menu will pop up giving you the option to play again. Here are some screenshots:

IP

IP IP is an app that will show you the IP addresses for your iPhone and is available through the Soneso Repository Source. All you do is tap the app and it opens to a screen displaying your IP addresses! This is really nice, if you are like me, and are using WinSCP a lot and need to know your IP address to reconnect to it. Now, instead of going into settings then into Wi-Fi…waiting for the Wi-Fi to load…then tapping the arrow next to the Wi-Fi you are connected to and waiting for that to load, you can just open the IP app and there it is!! YAY…I love it!!! It doesn’t give you all the info that the Wi-Fi settings on your iPhone do….but, it gives you the basics.

New Source – Soneso Repository

Today, I found a new source (it is the creating source of BlockPuzzle though BlockPuzzle is also available in the installer.app through Ste Packaging Source, and that is probably how most of you got it!) called Soneso Repository. There are only two apps it the source at this time; BlockPuzzle and IP. But, both are great apps. I have added the source to our Sources page. It has not been added as a trusted source yet because it is so new…however, so far, I have not had any problems with the source itself or either of its apps.

Source Location: http://www.soneso.com/iphone
When you add the source, all its apps will be under the category Sonceso in your Installer.app .

See our Sources page if you need information on how to install a new source on your iPhone.

BlockPuzzle

BlockPuzzle Yet another new game has shown up in the installer.app since yesterday. The object of BlockPuzzle is to try to get a red block out of the box by moving the other blocks around (seriously, harder then it sounds!!). The app opens to a menu screen in which you can pick the level that you would like to play. There are three levels, one through three, one being the easiest and three being the hardest. Once the level is selected it opens to the play screen. You then move the blocks around by dragging them with your finger. If you are able to get the red block out of the box a screen will pop up saying, Success! and will give you the option to play again and select the level you would like to play. Each level has only one “game”…if you beat level one and want to play again…the blocks will be in the exact same order. Also, if your brain starts to hurt and you want to take a break, when you reopen the app it will bring you back to the home screen and will not save what you have been working on! I was able to beat level one but, after about 30 seconds in level two, my head started to hurt and I gave up!! :) Here are the screenshots:
