I was surprised to see an update for SugarTracker in the Installer because according to the developer, version 1.5 was going to be the last update to the application. However, then I went back a realized version 1.5 was going to be the “last major release” for the application. So, that explains that! The update should fix the issue that a lot of you were having with the app opening and then closing back to the SpringBoard. There are a few other changes such as which folder files are saved in. Below is the complete change log. SugarTracker is available through the BigBoss source.

Version 1.5.1 Change Log
    • Permission bug; Replaced pref.data.js with the Defaults feature of jiggy; Your data should be converted to the new system.
    • Report and Publish feature creates temporary data within the /tmp folder instead of the /Applications/SugarTracker.app/html folder.
    • Publish: HTML Report and JSON option use the current date if no date is picked.
    • Removed obsolete /bin/chmod and permission test.

There are a ton of updates to version 1.5 of SugarTracker!! Below is a complete list of all the changes via the developer. Also, according to the developer, this is going to be the last update to this app. He is now going to be focusing his attention on SDK. I know I have had emails from people who use this app so, I hope this update works well for you! I would give you more details but, as you know from previous versions of this app, I know pretty much nothing about diabetes. SugarTracker is available through Ste Packaging source.

Note: This app does have a new icon to go with all it’s new features!

Update v1.5:
    • Added more fields: carbohydrates, meal, activity, note
    • Date & Time picker control based on the UIPickerView
    • Simple ComboBox control
    • Simple note editor
    • Simple Detail view.
    • New database table to store extra data
    • Optional Info pop up’s
    • New button set, icons and default picture. (Thanks Erik)
    • Separate Credits page

Problems in v1.5:
    • mmol/L not full supported (I’d no real life data to find bugs and adapt the graph pages)
    • Graphs are very slow and sometimes have some drawing glitches
    • Sometimes you’ve to set the permissions (777 for SugarTracker.app and     • html folder and on pref.data.js) correctly to save data and preferences
    • Sometimes, after you disabled the publish server it takes some tries to get another up and running

Version 1.4 of SugarTracker makes a few changes to the app. The first visual change is that the icon now includes the version number of the app. Once you have opened SugarTracker…you will notice that the upper menu bar has also changed. Instead of giving you the options Enter, Today, Week, Month, All and Report you now get the options Enter (where you enter in the Glucose/Insulin info), List (gives you complete list of the entries), Report (the report feature is the same as in the previous version) and Settings. The Setting options include; Unit type (mgdl or mmol/L), a place to enter your name, Warning Level 1, Warning Level 2 and then additional info about that app. I still thinks this looks like it would be a very handy app for those who need it!! I finally got version 1.3 of SugarTracker to work on my iPhone! SugarTracker is an app that allows you to track your glucose level and insulin schedule. The app opens to the main screen which shows the current date, time and two areas where you can enter the Glucose Level and the Insulin Dose. I know absolutely nothing about this subject so, I did what any person in my situation would do…I Googled it and WOW was that overwhelming! But, I think I got an accurate example…I think! Once you have entered the Glucose Level and Insulin Dose just tap save. This will then add this to the list of entries. On the upper menu bar you are able to choose to see entries from today, the week, the month or all entries. The Report option will give you the Blood glucose level average, Insulin dose average, Blood glucose level min/max, Insulin dose min/max and Blood glucose level average for the last seven days. It will also put a badge on the Report displaying the average blood glucose level…that way you can see it quickly without opening the report. Entries can be deleted my selecting it and then tapping Delete. However, after you delete an entry you must tap on Update in the lower right corner for the changes to take affect. Overall…this seems like it would be a handly little app! SugarTracker is available through the BigBoss source. Screenshots below.

This is an app that is supposed to track your glucose level and insulin schedule but, for the life of me I cannot get it to work (and yes I have Jiggy 0.26 installed )! I get an error every time I open the app. If anyone got it to work let me know. I was just excited because it was another app under the Health category…iWoman has been by itself since the beginning!
