Old Dock Theme is a WinterBoard enabled theme that changes your dock to look like the dock from back in the 1.1.1 days…yeah, I know, old school! :) Make sure you move it above your theme in WinterBoard if you would like to use it in conjunction with a theme. The developer also suggests installing the ReflectiveDock mod to make the Old Dock Theme look the best. You can get Old Dock Theme via the BigBoss source.

BlueAqua is a clean theme that contains 45 icons, a dock, a wallpaper and a Weather App theme. As much as I really do like the icons for this theme, I have a few qualms…the Mail App icon does not display correctly without some SSH work, I’m not big on the blue font on the status bar and the Weather App theme doesn’t match the rest of the theme. But, if you are looking for some decent icons, you might like this theme. You can get blueAqua via the iSpazio source.
To fix the mail icon, just SSH into the Library/Themes/blueAqua by DD/Icons folder and change mail.png to Mail.png. [Read more...]

Ok, iNitsua Portrait is a pretty sweet iNav inspired theme. There is also a landscape version of the theme but, I’m going to be concentrating on the portrait version. I’m not going to tell you how long it took me to set this theme up but I’m hoping my guide below will help you set it up in much, much, much less time than it took me!
The guide below looks a little long and probably a bit crazy but, it is because I walked through every step.

Black Wood is a nicely designed mostly black theme with some white and yellow accents. This is a “normal” theme (meaning not an iNav theme) so, there is no additional set-up. The theme comes with a wallpaper, dock, 269 icons, badge, slider…etc. The theme package also include a template for the icons (.psd file) which is always nice. The .psd file is located in the Library/Theme/Black Wood/Extra. I think these icons might also be small enough to be used with the FCSB mod. You can get Black Wood via the BigBoss source. IFDark No Logo is an iNav inspired theme, actually it is basically like a skin to the original iNav theme. It is definitely one of the easier iNav themes to set up. To do so, you will want to have all your application in an Apps and Games folder except the following; Phone, SMS, Email, Safari, iPod, Camera, Photo, Games and Apps.
You will want one icon on each page of your SpringBoard (in the same order they are listed in above). The icons need to be in the third row, the third icon in (see screenshots below). Once you have all nine icons arranged correctly, you can go into WinterBoard and activate the theme. [Read more...]

BluIce is a theme with kind of a space, futuristic feel to it. The theme contains 27 icons, a wallpaper, dock and statusbar. The only issue with this theme is that the Calendar icon is named incorrectly in the folder so, it doesn’t show up correctly without changing the name of the icon. If you are comfortable with SSH…you can SSH into the Library/Theme/BluIce/Icons folder and rename the icon from Calendarpng.png to Calendar.png (just remove the extra png). I also am not too sure about the Settings icon…it doesn’t seem to fit the rest of the theme. I think it would also be better with a blue badge instead of the stock red one. The Metal Thing is a pretty cool theme that contains 30 icons, moving wallpaper, dock, status bar, lock background, SMS background, sliders, badges, dialer, calculator…etc. This theme is unique in the fact that it has an “animated” wallpaper. In the center of the wallpaper is a blue sphere…inside the sphere you will get a nice lighting affect every once and a while. The icons also need to be in a specific order around the sphere. The rest of your icons can be placed wherever you would like them. (See screenshots below) I did notice that the animated wallpaper does making the icons a little laggy when in “move” mode however, it doesn’t seem to affect scrolling of SpringBoard pages. Round and Round is a theme that consists of transparent round icons. Unlike the popular Glass Orb theme, Round and Round adds a bit of color with a colored graphic inside of each transparent circle. Honestly, I feel like I have seen these icons before but, I can’t come up with the name of the theme so maybe they are just similar to another theme’s icons. Round and Round only contains the basic 16 icons and a Cydia icon (no iTunes and App Store icons with this one), a dock and a wallpaper. NativeUI is nice, clean WinterBoard theme. The theme does require just a little bit of set-up (nothing like an iNav theme does!). When you install NativeUI, there are a few things you need to do in WinterBoard. First, activate the NativeUI theme. You will also need to activate the No Docked Icons Labels and No Undocked Icon Labels options. Once out of WinterBoard, you will need to rearrange your icons slightly. In your top row of icons you want your Weather icon, your Calendar icon, a blank icon and your Clock icon. In the dock you will need the Phone, Email, SMS and iPod icons. You can put whatever icons you would like in your second and third row of icons. See the screenshots below. One thing I like about this theme is that it accommodate the WeatherIcon and LiveClock mods. There are not a ton of themes that do this, especially ones that are a little more unique like this one. Safety Not Guaranteed is a clear icon theme. I personally love clear icons because I can change my wallpaper and feel like I have a whole new theme! This clear icon set is actually a little different than most…it has a design to it. Most transparent icon themes tend to just be the stock icons…but see-through. The theme contains a dock, wallpaper, status bar, 128 icons and a few UI mods. I did find that I had a little bit of trouble getting the theme to work correctly with the LiveClock and WeatherIcon mods. In order for it to look correct, you can either disable both mods (using the LiveClock Disabled and No Weather Icon mods) or you can move your preferred weathericon and liveclock mods above the Safety Not Guaranteed theme in WinterBoard. Joulz is a simple, clean theme. It contains quite a few mods including; 446 icons, wallpaper, dock, status bar, badges, lockscreen wallpaper, sliders, calculator, notes, keypad…etc. The thing I really like about this theme is that it accommodates both the WeatherIcon and LiveClock mods, which is awesome. You also have the option to turn on a digital live clock. In order for the lockscreen to display your notifications correctly, you will also want to install the Lockscreen Clock Hide mod. This is a theme for the ladies! Pink Apple is a pink theme that contains 49 icons, a wallpaper and a dock. The theme also contains WiFi bar, Signal Bars and a Carrier Logo but, none of those three mods showed up when I tested the theme. iSimple is a theme based off the iNav theme. Like the iNav theme, it uses Categories to put all your apps into two categories; Apps and Games. It then uses blank icons (webclips) to position the Games, Apps and Cydia icons correctly on the SpringBoard. You can choose which every apps you would like to put on your dock…which is nice. The Games and Apps icons are clear so that you can see the icons on the wallpaper. Once all your icons are positioned correctly (see screenshots below) you will want to check the No Undocked Icon Labels option in Cydia. The only thing I noticed with this theme is that the Cydia icon is not clear. You would think it should be so that it would match the Games and Apps icons…in which you can see the wallpaper through. I’m sure many of you have heard about the iNav theme…if not, WHAT! JK, it’s totally ok if you haven’t heard about it especially because I’m going to tell you about it right now! iNav is a theme pretty much like no other theme out there. Since it’s release, there have been many themes based off of it but, it was definitly one of a kind! It does take a few minutes (ok, like 20 minutes) and a little work (no SSHing though!) to set up this theme so, I’m going to walk you through it. Nova is a very unique theme…it is clean and well designed. It contains 21 icons, a dock, status bar, badge and wallpaper. The only downfall is that there is no icon for the Maps application. I even took a look at the folder to make sure it wasn’t spelled incorrectly but, nope, no Maps icon. The upside is that the folder does contain a .psd file so that you can create your own icons. So, if you are ssh savvy and photoshop savvy…you could take care of the no Maps icon problem. If you are ssh or photoshop savvy…you might have to wait for an update before getting a Maps icon!
