Welcome to the one touch solution…ToggleBacklight! Tap the ToggleBacklight icon…you will get a splashscreen and then voilà back to the SpringBoard with a dimmer backlight. To go back to your brighter backlight, tap the ToggleBacklight icon again and there you go! I love this because there are times when the auto-brightness feature just doesn’t cut it. Especially if you are a bedtime iPhone browser (and you know you are!)…the auto-brightness just doesn’t get it dim enough for me. ToggleBacklight brings your backlight down to the dimmest setting and then back up to whatever brightness you have set in your Settings. I was afraid it would overwrite what I had set in my Settings and just go from the dimmest setting to the brightest. But, it doesn’t! So that is cool! The only thing I don’t like about this app is that the title is to long to fit below the icon. Other than that…not to bad! ToggleBacklight is available through the ModMyiFone.com source.
