Honestly guys, I do not see anything new in version 0.34 of ShopList. The app functions the same and there are no new options. So, it must just be coding stuff! Let me know if you guys notice anything. I still like this app for making lists! Shoplist is available through the Trivialware source.

We have already seen an app that allows you to search Wikipedia based on your location (Geopedia) now we have GeoStars which is an app that searches Yahoo based on location. When you open the app it will locate you. After it has successfully located your position, it will then open a web browser where you can enter what you would like to search for. It will then bring up a list of results. The results are ordered by the number of stars the listing has (the more stars…the higher it is on the results list). You can then tap on a result to get more info such as; the phone number, how far it is from your location, the website, the ability to view it in Maps, Yahoo local pages info, what categories the listing is in, the average rating and number of ratings it has had. It is pretty sweet!! It is also very accurate in locating the correct position…at least it was for me. GeoStars is available through the Trivialware source.

ShopList is a simple little app that allows you to create shopping lists. It opens to a blank main screen…to add a list just tap Add in the upper right corner. Once you have entered the List Name just tap Save in the upper left corner. Now, you will see your list on the main screen. To add items to your list, tap on it and then tap add in the upper right corner. The Item is the item you need, such as bread, the Desc adds a little subnote below the item, such as wheat. (see screenshots). Once you have your Item entered tap Save. You will now see it on the list of items needed for that Category.

If your Category is Groceries and you have all your items entered into your grocery list…once you get to the store you can mark them off by tapping the box to the right of that item. It them moves that item from the Need section to the Have section. You can have more than one main list like; Groceries, iPhone and Car. I will totally use this app for Grocery Shopping…it does exactly what I need it to do, add items and check them off…simple as that! To delete an entire list and not just entries…tap Edit and then select the list. ShopList is available through the Trivialware source. Check out the screenshots below.

GeoPedia is an app that brings up information based on where you are located. When you open the app on your iPhone, it will locate you. It will then open an internet browser with entries based on where you are located. The first entry is always flickr picture based on your location. If you tap on Flickr pictures, you will get thumbnails of the images…if you tap on an image, it will bring up that images flickr page. To get back to the main list, tap the Back arrow twice. If you select another entry on the main list, you will get three options for that entry; Wikipeida Article, Map and Related Articles. Wikipedia Article brings up the Wiki article for that entry…say The Golden Gate National Recreational Area, Map gives you a map for that entry and Related Articles brings up a list of articles related to that entry. I’m not sure where these articles are pulled from but, there are times when it doesn’t find any related article…it just depends on the entry. Overall, very cool (and highly informative) and it was very accurate in finding my location. GeoPedia is available through the Trivialware source. Below are some screenshots.
