Rolando is a game by Hand Circus that is due to come to the iPhone and iPod Touch this summer. It doesn’t say anything about the App Store but, I think it is safe to assume that is where they will launch it. See video below.

Mahjang Solitaire – Created on SDK 2.0 beta

Below is a demo video of Mahjang Solitaire, by SUNSOFT, that was created on Apple’s SDK 2.0 beta. There is no information as to whether it will be available via the App Store. But, I personally kind of like this game so, I hope we see it there in a just over a week!

iPhone Poker Timer – Available in the App Store

iPhone Poker Timer is an application that allows you to “Keep track of your Texas Holdem games with the iPhone Poker Timer. Keep track of your big and small blinds, the current minimum bet, current level, round time and break time.” It will be available via the App Store. Though, there is no indication of what the app will cost.

Neverball Ported to the iPhone

Lazrhog, who also brought us NOIZ2SA, rRootage and iZoo, is in the early stages of porting Neverball to the iPhone. So, if the games he has already brought us aren’t cool enough, here is another one!! Using the accelerometer, the object of the game is to move the ball around the course collecting as many coins as possible. Check out the demo videos below.

ScrollMotion

This video by ScrollMotion, describes exactly what the iPhone is capable of doing! The possibilities are endless. Below is some very brief information about ScrollMotion and the video.

“ScrollMotion has already built three iPhone applications for the media conglomerate Tribune, and has 25 more iPhone projects for other clients in the works. “We’ll be building out [iPhone] applications for the next two years,” he says. One free, ad-supported application for Tribune that’s expected to be available when the App Store launches keeps track of an iPhone owner’s commute, estimates the travel time, and suggests alternative routes.” [Read more...]

Coming Soon – Spin the Black iPhone

Spin the Black iPhone is a port of the Spin the Black Circle game. It even has a really nice, really simple level editor for making your own custom levels for the app. As of right now, there is no information on when it will be available but, it looks really cool! While you wait, you can play Spin the Black Circle HERE via your computer.

Firefox for the iPhone?

Although it’s not likely Apple will allow Firefox or Opera into the App Store, Firefox is well prepared. Here is a concept of what it might look like:

Hedgewars for the iPhone The Hedgewars team is working with ZodTTD to get the Hedgewars game ported to the iPhone (currently available for Windows and Linux). The game is in development and there is no information on when it will be released or whether it will be available via the AppStore of Installer. I guess we will just have to wait and see. Below is more info about Hedgewars and a demo video.

Hedgewars is a turn based, multiplayer, strategy game based on the ever so wonderful Worms Armageddon. In Hedgewars players take it in turns to control their team of hedgehogs, wielding a variety of wacky weaponry in order to annihilate the other team(s)! fringAPI & fringAdd-ons Available to Developers Today

Fringfring announced today that developers will have access to their fringAPI. This means you can create and port content into fring only need a working knowledge of basic server-side language such as PHP, JSP, ASPX etc and XML. You can login to their developer’s section and start today. The content will then be delivered in July, 2008 as fringAdd-ons. This will be free for both developers and end users.

Important! in the coming weeks we will release several examples of fringAdd-ons for users to play with, the full catalog with all the new developed fringAdd-ons will become available around end of July (meaning any add-on you develop from today will be available for all the fring community for end of July).
Second, currently the fringAPI is available for fring client on the Symbian S60 9.2 only, more platform to come shortly.

iPhone Controlling Drones?

Here is a video from the The Center for Collaborative Control of Unmanned Vehicles (C3UV) at the University of California, Berkeley. They are an, “interdisciplinary group focusing on the fundamental theoretical developments necessary to allow teams of unmanned vehicles to operate autonomously, without extensive monitoring and intervention by human operators.” And, what better way control a drone then via an iPhone! Using a web browser via the iPhone they are able to input coordinates, give the drone certain tasks and even give the drone new tasks while it is in flight! Check out the video below:
