Which Jailbreak method did you use? What Operating System are you using? What baseband is your phone currently on? Is it old or new bootrom? (If it's an iphone 4, it's probably a new bootrom)..Is your phone factory unlocked, or is it locked to only work with a specific phone company? Do you use a PC or a Mac? My advice is to start again & take it step by step. 1. Find out what operating system your phone is on, & what the baseband number is. 2. Whatever operating system your phone is on, KEEP IT AT THAT OPERATING SYSTEM!! Don't upgrade it if it is not the latest version. Older Operating Systems are easier to jailbreak! 3. Google "Jailbreak iphone wiki" - There is a table there that can help you find the best jailbreak tool for your phone. Generally speaking, Limera1n is good for iOS 4.1. Greenpois0n or Redsn0w for 4.2.1 4. Bear in mind,Jailbreaking, Activating & Unlocking are all very different processes. Some tools do it all in one. Others don't. - - Also, bear in mind that at the moment, while it is possible to Jailbreak the latest 4.2.1 iOS, there is no unlock for 30.10.01 at the moment....you'll have to wait if that is your baseband. If you're not sure, just google it. 5. Cydia must be installed after the jailbreaking process. And it is ALWAYS worth rebooting your phone after any process. 6. PROBABLY THE MOST COMMON ERROR OF THEM ALL.... - Have you looked for the 'loader', 'limera1n' or 'cydia' icon on any of the other pages? Failing that, have you tried a spotlight search? I hope that gets you started, David, but Google is the jailbreaker's best friend. Use it!! @David
