Mophie Marketplace Case for iPhone 3G & 3GS

Mophie has announced yet another iPhone case that is more than just a case. This case has a credit card magnetic strip reader at the bottom. It works with their app in the app store to read credit cards. The case is made of a nice grippy rubber and can be charged and synced through the micro USB port. Again, this case has no release date and no price listed on their website. This app would be great for vendors at flee markets, farmers markets and events. Unlike their FLO TV case and other battery cases, this case does not have an extra battery.

9 New iPhone Car Mounts

Arkon will be releasing 9 new iPhone car mounts in September. The sweet thing is they will work for both 1st Gen iPhones and the iPhone 3G. There is a windshield suction mount, cup holder mount, removable air vent mount, bicycle handlebar mount, sun visor mount, friction dash mounts (aka “bean bag mounts), passenger side seat bolt floor mount, and a multi angle adhesive dash mount.

The hardest part will be choosing from them all and that’s why we’re working with Arkon to get you reviews of all of them. That way you’ll know what works for you. I’m pretty excited about the bicycle mount. I’ve been riding my bike to work everyday and it would be sweet to use some of the navaigtaion apps like Speed.

iWood Case for the iPhone 3G

Miniot is a company that makes wood cases for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Well, they have now made a iWood case for the iPhone 3G. The cases are carved from a single pieces of wood and, if the iPhone 3G cases follow the trend of the cases created for the 1st Generation iPhone, they will be available in Oak, Padouk, Cherry, Mahogany and Walnut. The cases come in two pieces that slide together, leaving all ports and controls accessible. You can also personalize the case with a monogram, inscription or logo. For an extra charge, you can even have a matching dock carved from the same type of wood! The current cases cost around $125 USD, that price includes the engraving of a monogram, inscription or logo.
