Mophie Marketplace Case for iPhone 3G & 3GS

Mophie has announced yet another iPhone case that is more than just a case. This case has a credit card magnetic strip reader at the bottom. It works with their app in the app store to read credit cards. The case is made of a nice grippy rubber and can be charged and synced through the micro USB port. Again, this case has no release date and no price listed on their website. This app would be great for vendors at flee markets, farmers markets and events. Unlike their FLO TV case and other battery cases, this case does not have an extra battery.

Strength Otterbox (Pink) Case Giveaway

iPhone 3G OtterBox Case Now Available

As many of you know, Doug and I both are fans of OtterBox iPhone cases. In the past we have done a reviews of both the Defender and Armor Series Cases. Until just recently, the cases were not available for the iPhone 3G. However, you are now able to get the Defender Series case for the iPhone 3G. It is currently only available in black but will soon be available in White, Pink and Yellow/Black. Not only that, it seems they have improved the case from the first version. Apple Logo Light Mod

This is a sweet hack if I’ve ever seen one! I would love to have this on my 3G! So far this info is only for the 1st Gen iPhone. Below is a video of the end result (warning, not in English). It makes your Apple logo glow! I checked a little deeper and found out they are a company in Russia and it’s actually running separate from the light from the screen (battery drain?). They also provide custom designed backs, memory upgrades, and laser engraving. Now only if this was maybe a flash for the camera, flashlight, changed color, interacted with apps… Tell us what your ideas are!

Solar Powered iPhone 3G Case

Doug and I had been discussing a few days ago how quickly the iPhone 3G’s battery goes dead…I will say, with confidence, that the first gen iPhone’s battery life is much better than the iPhone 3G’s battery life!! Well, the next day, Doug sent me a link to a solar powered iPhone 3G case! It seems that the guys over at Mobile Fun feel our pain and have developed a case that can recharge your iPhone 3G using direct sunlight. According to Solar Feeds, it will take around 3 hours to charge the battery on your iPhone 3G to a level in which your iPhone can function. It would take around 10 hours to fully charge your iPhone 3G. It also comes with a mini USB option in case you do not have any direct sunlight. Overall, a very cool concept that will be available around the middle of August in both black and white!

Aquapac – Waterproof iPhone Case

Aquapac has a 100% waterproof case for the iPhone. It is made of premium polyurethane and “is sensitive enough to allow full use of the iPhone’s dynamic fingertip touchscreen, as well as normal speak/hear clarity.” You are also able to make a phone call and use the camera through the case. It is good for keeping dirt and sand off your iPhone and is submersible up to 15 feet. If it still makes you a little nervous, it does come with a 3-year global warranty! The Aquapac for iPhone case is available for $25.00.

I personally am a big fan of OtterBox Cases and to me, the Aquapac for iPhone case is more like a water-proof pouch then a case but, if you are looking for a easy way to keep your iPhone safe from water, dirt or sand…this might be the way to go! I could also see the armband version of the case being very useful!

DLO SlimCase for the iPhone Review

This leather case has a soft suede interior to keep your iPhone safe. Comes with a high quality leather strap and a DLO Surface Shield scree protector. All button & ports are accessible but trying to hit the lock button is a bit annoying. It allows for easy connection with most dock cables but it will not stand up in an iPhone dock. The DLO SlimCase for the iPhone retails for about $40 on DLO’s website. Check out the video review below:

Agent 18 EcoShield Accessory Review

This case is very simple and very easy to install. You just slide on the bottom, then slide on the top, simple as that. It has a clean design and is not too bulky like most cases. The only negative I have is it’s still slippery. The hard plastic case needs some rubber grips. This is the main reason I use a case is the metal case of the iPhone is slick.
