LockInfo, ένας γνώρισμα-συσκευασμένος νεαρός δικυκλιστής οθόνης κλειδαριών, ενημερώθηκε στην έκδοση 2.3.8.24. Είναι μια αρκετά κόσμιη αναπροσαρμογή που περιλαμβάνει τη συμβατότητα με iOS 4.2.1, τις βελτιώσεις και λίγες αποτυπώσεις ζωύφιου (πλήρες changelog κατωτέρω). Συμπαθώ τις βελτιώσεις στο ταχυδρομείο app. Ειδικά συμπαθώ ότι, δεδομένου ότι είστε τώρα ικανοί να χτυπήσετε στις συνδέσεις στα μηνύματα ταχυδρομείου στην οθόνη κλειδαριών, ζητά τον κωδικό πρόσβασής σας πρίν ανοίγει τους… καλή ασφάλεια. Κάποτε αυτός παίρνει αγνοημένος. Επίσης παρατήρησα ότι η app τιμή είναι $7.99 αντί των προηγούμενων $4.99. Επειδή είχα αγοράσει ήδη app… Δεν είμαι βέβαιος εάν η μεταβολή των τιμών εμφανίστηκε με αυτήν την αναπροσαρμογή ή εάν είχε ανεβά ήδη. Εν πάση περιπτώσει, LockInfo ενημερώθηκε και θα εργαστεί τώρα με 4.2.1! YAY! … δεδομένου ότι είναι ένας από τους αγαπημένους νεαρούς δικυκλιστές οθόνης κλειδαριών μου!

Το Infinifolders, προσθέτει απεριόριστο Apps στους φακέλλους, ενημερωμένους

Infinifolders, one of my absolute “must-have” hacks that allows the ability to add unlimited apps into a folder, has been updated to version 1.3-1. There isn’t an official change log but I’m guessing it has to do with compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 or maybe it adds the much awaited iPad support (which I can’t test because Doug has taken the iPad hostage!)! Change the Font Color and Style for LockInfo

Lockinfo White Text is a mod that changes the font color and style for LockInfo (a feature-packed lock screen mod). Normally, on LockInfo, the title font is white and the rest of the text is gray. This mod changes all the text to white and italicizes the title font to help differentiate between the title and the rest of the text. This mod would come in handy if you have a lock screen background that makes it difficult to read the gray text. Overall the mod worked exactly how I expected it to. I was able to activate and deactivate it without a problem.

No Badges – Remove Home Screen Badges

No Badges is a simple hack that removes the badges from the icons on your device’s homescreen. The hack is super simple… once you install it via Cydia and respring your springboard… you will no longer have badges. There are no setting for the app and it will not put an icon on your springboard. It just does the mod automatically when the app is installed. To get your badges back, just go into Cydia and remove the app. No Badges worked perfectly when I tested both installing and removing it. A nice little hack if it is what you are looking for. Personally, I would love to see the app have a few options such as the ability to turn off badges for specific applications (like the Mail app!) and leave badges on other apps. The ZTE Peel Hits Sprint in November – Giving iPod Touch Cellular Data Capabilities

The ZTE Peel, a Sprint-branded iPod touch case that allows the device to have mobile hotspot functionality and EV-DO connectivity, is said to be hitting the Sprint stores November 14th. So far, there is no word on how much the Peel will cost however BG has stated that they just received word that “Sprint plans on charging $29.99 per month for 1 GB of data usage with no contract.”

Quickly Clear Cache, History and Tabs in Safari

Reset Safari for SBSettings is an SBSetting toggle that allows you to quickly clear Safari’s cache, history and remove all tabs. Once the app is installed, you will need to go into SBSettings and then the More option and turn the toggle on. Once it has been set as one of your toggles, it’s pretty simple to use… just tap the ResetSafari toggle and it clears everything. It does not actually toggle on or off… you just tap it and it instantly deletes everything. If you use the toggle while Safari is open, it will close the app in-order to reset it.

When I tested the app… it worked just as I expected. All my Safari history and tabs had been removed and my cache cleared. I didn’t catch any glitches with the app… let me know in the comments if you did. You can get Reset Safari for SBSettings via the BigBoss source.

Brilho is a WinterBoard theme that contains 34 icons (some of which are alternative icons), a wallpaper, a lock screen background, folders mod and an icon template (a .psd file). SwitcherPlus – Adds Multitasking Ability on Lock Screen

SwitcherPlus is a mod that adds the ability to use the multitasking dock from your lock screen. Once the app has been installed in Cydia, you are able to use the complete functionality of multitasking from your lock screen.

If you do not have a passcode set for your device, and you select an application from the multitasking dock while on the lock screen, it will automatically take you from the lock screen directly into that application. If you do have a passcode, and you select an application from the multitasking dock while on the lock screen, it will require you to enter your passcode and then will bring you directly into the application you selected.

I did notice that after you select an app from the multitasking dock (while on the lock screen), the passcode keyboard disappears pretty quickly. So, you will want to start typing in your passcode as soon as the keyboard appears or it will disappear and you will have to go back into multitasking and select your app again. Hopefully this will be fixed with an update. NOTE: This can actually be changed in the app’s settings. If you go into the Lock Screen Mode option and then the Dim after dismiss option… you can increase the time before the screen dims and thus the keyboard disappears.

Direct Closer – Quickly Close Multitasking Apps

Direct Closer is a simple little hack that, when you double-tap the Home Button to get to the multitasking apps, it automatically puts them into “wiggle” mode so they can be removed. Normally, you would have to double-tap the Home Button and then tap and hold an icon in the multitasking dock in order to get the apps into “wiggle” mode so that they can be removed. This app just makes this process a little faster by automatically putting them in “wiggle” mode. However, in order to switch to another app (using the multitasking dock), you have to tap the Home Button once to turn off the “wiggle” mode and then tap the app you would like to switch too. MiDarkTheme – WinterBoard Theme

MiDarkTheme is a dark theme (obviously) that contains 36 icons, a dock, status bar, lockscreen background, wallpaper, SMS mod, Safari mod, Phone mod, pop-up mod, Calculator mod, badges, page dots… etc. Overall it is a decently designed theme. There are a few things that could be a little cleaner… like the Safari loading mod but overall it’s not too bad. You can get MiDarkTheme via the modmyi source.

New Jailbreak Exploit Working for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch 4G

Yesterday, @MuscledNerd (a Dev-Team member) tweeted that @pod2G had found a jailbreak exploit. Today MuscleNerd went on to say “tweet” that the exploit works on iOS 4.1. He also mentioned that the exploit not only works on the iPhone 4 but also the iPad and the iPod touch 4. So… hopefully we are getting closer to a jailbreak! @pod2g tweeted that there will be a demo available soon (which I was trying to hold out for) but I haven’t seen it yet. They did however post a wiki page for “SHAtter” – which I’m assuming is the name of the jailbreak. Read more

iFixit’s iPod Touch 4th Generation Teardown (No Vibrate Motor)

Today iFixit released a teardown guide for the 4th Generation iPod touch. Yesterday in episode 18 of i101 we had mentioned that, according to Apple’s website, the 4th gen iPod touch was going to have a vibrate alert. Today that information is no longer on Apple’s website. It seems that Apple made a slight mistake saying that the 4th gen iPod touch would have a vibrate feature. This was further confirmed by iFixit’s teardown of the device in which they did not find a vibrate motor. Bummer Apple. You can view iFixit’s complete teardown guide HERE.
