LiveClock has been updated to version 0.4. Before the update, the LiveClock mod worked but, it was a little weird…when you first installed it, it would display six hands instead of three and you would have to tap at the very bottom of the Clock icon to open the stock Clock application. Well, the update fixes these problems. I no longer had a problem with the mod displaying six hands and the Clock application opens normally.

The update also says that it fixes the “digital clock digits disappearing at 00.” Overall, the update seems to work great! I am actually going to leave it enabled now! You can get LiveClock via the iSpazio source.

Note: LiveClock is enabled/disabled via WinterBoard.

I have had quite a few people asking me about the LiveClock mod (a mod that displays the current time on your Clock icon) and whether or not it works on the 3.0 firmware….the answer is, yes!

The first time you install the mod, it will be over the top of your Stock icon which makes it look weird because it will have two hour, minute and second hands. All you need to do is go into WinterBoard and disable LiveClock. Your iPhone and/or iPod Touch will respring. Now, go back into WinterBoard and uncheck the LiveClock Disabled option…your device will respring again and voilà you will have the LiveClock mod (working correctly). I know many of you use the LiveClock mod. However, one disadvantage of the LiveClock mod is that it does not always match your current theme. With the WeatherIcon mod, at least you have the option for a transparent background (which I almost always use) allowing the mod to work with almost any theme. Well, we now get the same luxury with the LiveClock mod, kind of.

The ModMyi source has released an icon for the LiveClock mod called LiveClock Invisible. This basically gives you a transparent background behind LiveClock. The only thing is, there are no numbers…just the hands. It would be nice if there were actual numbers and then the background was transparent. But, I guess then you would have to back a white version and a black version so that the numbers would show up no matter your Wallpaper color. Still a mod I will probably use. LiveClock Invisible is activated/deactivate via WinterBoard.

I know many of you are fans of the Buuf theme that is available via Cydia. The only downfall with themes lately, is that if you like to use the LiveTime mod (updating Clock icon), you end up with a stock clock icon in with the rest of your themed icons. Well, the Buuf Live Time Theme allows you to have the LiveTime mod with the Buuf clock icon. In order for it to work properly, you will need to have the Buuf Live Time Theme, the LiveTime mod and the Buuf2 theme all activated in WinterBoard…in that order!

How to Install

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the ModMyi source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Buuf Live Time Theme in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate everything as listed above.
