Not only does it display deals that are near your location, it also has the ability to display/scan coupons right on your iPhone or iPod Touch’s screen…which I honestly will have to see to believe but will be totally psyched if it works…I have always wanted to do that!! The app will also allow you to save previously searched for coupons in a “digital wallet” for future use. You can find out more about Yowza!! on their website. There is no ETA on when the app will be available in the App Store, though you can sign up on their website to be notified once it is. We do know that it will be free! So, that is cool!

There has been another release for MCallShow. I tend to keep an eye on the updates for this application because in the past it has never worked quite right for me so, I like to check out the updates to see if things have improved. MCallShow is an application which gives you more detailed location based information about incoming and outgoing calls. It seems that the user interface has not drastically changed however, the database for the application has changed. It used to be when you opened the app, it would automatically find your local Country. Now it seems that you need to actually install the database for your Country. The current Country databases include, Australia, China, England, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Spain and Thailand. There website says that there is also a database for the USA/Canada but, I did not see that is Cydia.

So, once you install MCallShow, you will also need to install the databases that you would need. Also, in the previous version when you would try to purchase the application is would say $0.00 well now it seems that the full version of the application is $4.99 USD. I personally do not see a huge need for this application but, maybe it is extremely useful for people in other Countries or people who do a lot of business with other Countries…you guys will have to let me know. Check out the screenshots below.

iWant is an application that allows you to look up venues that are near your current location. When you open the application, it will locate your current location. You will then get a screen with 12 icons. There is also a Settings icon and Map icon on the lower part of the screen. The Map option will show the results on a map instead of in a list. In the Setting, you have the option to adjust the search radius from less than a mile to five miles, the ability to sort your search by Rating (based on a five star rating) or Distance and the ability to change the Restaurant filter so that it only searches for a certain type of restaurant near you instead of all restaurants. Once you have all the Settings the way you would like them, select the Done option in the lower left corner.

Now all you have to do is select one of the icons and it will bring up a list of those venues that are with-in 5 miles (that is the distance I chose in the Settings) of your current location. Following is a list of what each icon represents from left to right; Restaurants, Bars, Cafes, Grocery Stores, Drug Stores, Clothing Stores, Movies, Hotels, Department Stores, Banks, Gas Stations and Car Rentals. When you select one of the venues, you will get a list of relevant findings. The list will display the Venue’s Title, Address and Star Rating. If you select one of the options, it will also give you the Phone number (which you can select and call), a map of the location of the venue and reviews of the venue. You can also select the Map option in the lower right corner and it will put the venue on the map. However, the map shows your current location and then displays little red arrows showing which way you need to move the map in order to find the venue on the map. It can be a little tricky to navigate. The map really needs the ability to zoom in and out…that would help a ton.

iWant seems to have a decent list of venues. The only thing missing is Coffee Shops. The Coffee Shops around me to not show up in the Restaurants or Cafes list. This application is all about personal preference. Obviously you can search for most of these things using Google Maps however, if you prefer to see the results in a list view…this might be the application for you.

Click HERE to download iWant via the App Store.
It looks as though you are also able to search by the type of gas you are looking for or by specific gas station. The app is currently in private beta but I’m sure it wont be too long before we see it in the AppStore. It will be interesting to see what database the information is pulled from and how up-to-date it is.

I just realized that we have never done a review of NavizonGPS. So, here is a full review of the application. NavizonGPS is “a wireless positioning system that works a little bit like a GPS, only that it uses Cellular Towers and Wifi access points instead of satellites. In addition to being a wireless position system, Navizon offers cool features like the Directions, Buddy finder, Geotags and many more.”

When you first open NavizonGPS, after installing it, you will need to set-up an account. You will get a pop-up with the options to select Ok to set-up an account or to select Cancel if you already have an account. If you select Ok, it will open a browser in which you can register for an account. After you have created your account, you can go back to the application on your SpringBoard. This time when you open the application, select Cancel. This will bring you to the main menu.

Here you will see the options; Locate Me Now, Enable Navizon Bar Plugin for Maps, Enable Buddy Tracking and Enable Locate-by-SMS. The Locate Me Now Option will locate your current position and then automatically open it in Google Maps. I find this application to be very accurate for me!

The Navizon Bar Plugin for Maps option will add a custom Navizon tool bar to your Google Maps. The tool bar allows you to launch the Navizon application by selecting the tool icon, search for your Buddies by selects the icon with two people on it and start the GPS (moving location) by selecting the Play icon. The GPS option will update your location every 15 seconds. To pause the moving location options, tap the pause icon. The Navizon tool bar will show up in Google Maps all the time, not just when launching Google Maps from Navizon. You can minimize the tool bar by tapping on the very right of it. To maximize it, tap it again.

The Tracking for Buddies and Alerts Option allows you to appear visible to your buddies. Which means, if you turn Appear Visible on, and one of your buddies selects search for buddies on their iPhone, you will show up in Google Maps on their iPhone. Only people you have approved as buddies are able to view your location and only when you have that option turned on. It is the same if you search for buddies on your iPhone, it will only display the location of your buddies who currently have Appear Visible turned on.

The Locate-by-SMS is a very cool feature. When enabled, it allows you to send a text to your iPhone that contains a keyword and it will send a text back with the current location of your iPhone. To set it up, you will need to turn Locate-by-SMS on and then you will need to enter a keyword into the Keyword section. You do not want it to by a common word because if someone sends you a text with that word in it, it would send them back a text with your current location in it. So, you want it to be a keyword you would only uses with the purpose of finding your iPhone. This is a great feature for if you have lost your iPhone or if you iPhone has been stolen or even to check up on your kids!! See Demo Video below.

Once you have everything set-up in the menu, you can select Locate Me Now. Every time you open Navizon, it will automatically Locate your current position. You can stop it by selecting the Cancel option in the upper right corner of the launch page. You can also have it automatically bring you to the Directions feature in Google Maps by selecting the Directions option in the lower left corner. It will locate current position and put those coordinates in the start field and you can then enter where you would like the directions to end. There is also one more option on the Locate Me Now launch page and that is Buddies. If you select Buddies it the lower left corner, it will locate your current location in Google Maps as well as all your Buddies.

Back in the main menu of the application, you can set-up your full account and get a lot more information by selecting the Account option and then the Manage Account on the Web option. NavizonGPS is available through the Ste Packaging source.
It uses cell towers or WiFi to find your location and then displays them in a Google map on your Facebook page. If you have friends that have the application on their Facebook, it will also display where they have been on your map. I have actually been testing this app for quite a while now, however, I didn’t think it worked well enough to post about. But, a few updates later, it is working much better and is really cool! Here is how it works.

1. Go to this url. This will bring you to a screen where you can sign into your Facebook account. It will then open the main page for the iPhoneLocator Facebook app. To add the application to your Facebook page, select Add Application. You can choose the options you want and select Add iPhone Locater. Once you select Add iPhone Locator, it will open the iPhoneLocator Set-up page. You will see, “Setting up your iPhone…” In this section, they will give you a private Repository URL (you will not want to give this to anyone).

2. Add the Repository url they give you into your Sources in Installer (just add it like you would any other source…see the f.a.q page for instructions on how to add a source to Installer). Once you have entered the source, it will add a source titled Facebook Packages under the Other Sources heading. Note: make sure you enter the source exactly the same as how they have it…make sure your iPhone does not auto-capitalize the word iPhone in the source url.

2. Go into the Installer and select the Facebook Category. Inside the Facebook Category, you will see the iPhoneLocator app. (You could also go into All Packages and search for iPhoneLocator)

3. Install iPhoneLocator. You will get a few pop-ups during the install process (see screenshots below). Also, this is a code app it does not put an icon on your SpringBoard!

4. After it is done installing…restart your iPhone.

5. Wait for app to show up on Facebook. This could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour (or longer) to show up on Facebook. It took about 20 minutes for mine to show up. You can check on the progress by refreshing the Home page of the iPhoneLocator application in Facebook. When it has been added, it will no longer show the set-up page but instead, it will show a map with your iPhone’s most recent location.

6. While you wait…you can go into the iPhoneLocator app in Facebook and click on Settings and set up your Settings how you would like them. You have the option to change the Location Privacy (Private, Friends Only or Public), Update Interval (15 mins, 30, 45 or an hour), Time Zone (Pacific, Mountain, Central or Eastern), Location Method (WiFi – Skyhook or Tower – Google), Accuracy (1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, 1 mile or 2 miles), Canvas Zoom (0-18) and Profile Zoom (0-18)

7. Let me know in the comments how it goes for you. Below is the live feed from Doug’s Facebook. Enjoy!
