RemindYou 1.2-1

RemindYou Well guys, I don’t know what you tell you about this application…I seriously cannot get it to work on my iPhone. Doug used to be able to get it to work but, now it just makes his lock screen go black. There are do not appear to be any visual changes on the Settings menu of the application, with the update to version 1.2-1. You will have to let me know in the comment if this application works for you. RemindYou is available through the BigBoss source.

RemindYou 1.2-1

iReboot, PowerManager, Restart, Lock, Shutdown, Repring….what is the difference?

There have been quite a few apps released lately that Restart, Lock, Respring and Shutdown your iPhone. So, I thought I would run through some of the differences between them. It can get a little confusing so make sure you read carefully.

RestartRestart/Killboard/Respring/Lock – These applications are one-touch solutions to restarting your SpringBoard. Just tap the application and they will restart your SpringBoard, bringing it to the lockscreen.

ShutdownRespringBB – A one-touch solution to respring your SpringBoard without bringing it to the lock screen. Just tap the application and it will use the Set Language mode to respring your SpringBoard without going to the lock screen.

ShutdownShutdown – A one-touch solution to turning your iPhone completely off. Just tap the application and it will turn off your iPhone. This would be the same as holding down your power button.

iReboot 0.3

iReboot iReboot allows you to choose to Reboot your iPhone, Shutdown your iPhone or Restart your iPhone. It basically combines Restart, Shutdown and Lock into one application. When you open the application, you will get a main menu with the three options; Reboot iPhone, Shutdown iPhone and Restart SpringBoard. Reboot will turn your iPhone off and then back on, Shutdown will turn your iPhone off but will not turn it back on and Restart will restart your SpringBoard (bringing to to the lock screen). All three options work properly. iReboot is avilable through the iSpazio source.

Lock 1.0

lock Lock was made by XianLi in order to allow people with a broken sleep/power button to lock their iPhone and/or iPod Touch. The application is very simple. Click on the Lock icon, a loading screen will appear and voilà your iPhone/iPod is locked. You can still use Lock to lock your device even if the top power button is not broken. You can get Lock from the iClarified source. Check out the screen shots below!

SkrewCommon 1.39

iToday The update to SkrewCommon version 1.39 makes some nice changes to iToday. My favorite part of the update is that both the box and the screen are now scrollable. In the previous version, only the screen was scrollable. This adds a ton of functionality to the application. However, it is a little tricky getting used to scrolling just the screen and not the boxes. You have to scroll near the top or on the right of the screen. After a little practice, it is no problem. Both SMS and Call History have been added to the lockscreen. It displays the Date, Time and Contact from the last 10 Texts and Calls you have received. It also displays [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 1.05

IntelliScreen The update to version 1.05 of IntelliScreen just makes one small visual change to the application and fixes a few bugs. The visual change has to do with the Taskbar/Refresh icons…they are now little white refresh arrows instead of having a blue circle. The bug fixes include; Battery usage when using Alerts, Default Dim Time when using the Home Button. IntelliScreen is available through the IntelliBorn source.

iToday 0.51

iToday The update to version 0.51 of iToday adds the Video Settings option back into the application. In the previous version, the Video Setting option was there but when you went into it all you got was a list of videos that had been installed. Now, it has the correct options under Video Settings. iToday is available through the Skrew source.

iToday 0.5

iToday The update to 0.5 of iToday has made some changes to both the Settings and the lock screen display. The Settings have changed quite a bit, you now have the options; Enable iToday, Video Settings, Date Setting and Restart SpringBoard. The Theme option has been deactivate and a Display Settings has been added but is not available yet. One new feature on the lock screen is that you can now scroll the page. It will display the next ten Calendar events and then the list of Birthdays. To see all the Birthdays, just scroll down. I also noticed that [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 1.04

IntelliScreen The update to version 1.04 of IntelliScreen adds a few new features and fixes a few bugs. The new feature that I like the most is that if you have one of the features set as Only-If-New, it shows up in the View Layout and you are able to position it however you would like. I also noticed that the Calendar is automatically added as a larger size and then you can change it to the size you would like it. They have also added [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 1.00 – 1.03

IntelliScreen With the release of versions 1.0-1.02 of IntelliScreen comes some very cool new features and some slightly disheartening news. Lets start with the cool new features. The new feature that I like the most is the ability to have two IntelliScreen pages. When on your lockscreen, you just tap the little 2 icon and it will flip over to the second page. To go back to the first page, just select to 1 icon. Another very cool new feature is that when you swipe on one of the options, it will have you enter your passcode before it launches the application. IntelliScreen is also no longer free. You get a 10 day trial and then after that, you must purchase a license which range from $4.99 to $49.99 USD (see information below). Here is a break down of some of the other new features.

IntelliScreen 0.95

IntelliScreen Below is the list of changes I noticed in the update to version 0.95 of IntelliScreen. IntelliScreen is available through the Intelliborn source.

Main Menu – The Auto-Check Mail option does not show up unless you have Mail set as Only New Messages. The Mail Account Option has been moved into the Mail option, they are now longer seperate options on the main menu. New quick preview icon in the upper left corner (magnifying glass). Just tap it to see a preview of what it will look like on your lock screen.

IntelliScreen 0.93

IntelliScreen The update to IntelliScreen adds a new Alerts option. When you select Alerts, you will get a bunch of alert features. You can turn on/off Taskbar Icons, Missed SMS Alerts, Missed Calls Alerts and New Mail Alerts. I like the Taskbar Alert icons however, I’m not sure what I think about the Missed SMS and Missed Call Alerts. When you have a missed Text Message is moves all your stuff down and adds it below your email information and gives you the ability to read the entire text message. The missed call alert shows up as a layover over the top of everything else which I am not sure I like.

Back in the Alerts settings, [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 0.92

IntelliScreen There are a ton of new new features since I last did an update on IntelliScreen (which was version 0.84). I’m not sure how they continue to find new features to add but, they do and they are always good!! Here is a list of what I noticed.

Display Settings – The options for the Sports Display Settings are now Space Available and Never. In the previous version they were Always and Never.

Weather – You now have the option to choose between Fahrenheit or Celsius.

News – You now have the ability to turn on/off the Google API for SAfari and choose how often you would like the new feeds to update (from every minute to once a day). I also noticed that they changed how you add a news feed. There is an actual option, in the list, that says Add News Feed. Which is very user friendly. Along with that, you can also choose the title of the News Feeds that you add.

IntelliScreen 0.84

IntelliScreen There have been a few updates to IntelliScreen since yesterday! They have added a few cool new features including the ability to add more than one weather location!! This is my favorite new feature. I have more than one weather location entered into my Stock Weather application so, it is nice to be able to do so in this application as well! If you add more than one weather location you are then able to scroll through them while on the lock screen. It will change the title of the weather so that you know which location you are viewing as you scroll through them. You can also swipe on one of the weather locations (on your lock screen) to [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 0.81

IntelliScreen One thing I really like about IntelliScreen is when you open the application, it notifies you when there is an update. The only issue with version 0.81 of this application is that it is not compatible with the newest version of SkrewCommon. Which means, you will have to uninstall SkrewCommon in order to install IntelliScreen. The only issue I have with this is that Ringtones, vWallpaper and iToday all use SkrewCommon. Which means you will not be able to use those applications if you install this one. Could be a tough decision if you like any of those applications. I personally really like this application and the new features in this version make me like it even more. [Read more…]
