Our two year old actually uses one of our old iPhones (1st gen)…we have a case on it and child proofed it as much as possible. It keeps him busy wile we are waiting for things…like at the doctor’s office or in a restaurant…he loves it! I do not disable my auto-correction though, I have thought about it many times!!! It drives me crazy how many times it auto-corrects the wrong word but, I love when it does auto-correct a word correctly…so, for now, I’m going to stick it out a little longer!

New Poll – What are your top five favorite features of the new 3.0 firmware?

AiS" Well, since yesterday’s poll is a little outdated already…here is a new one!

Apple actually did surprising well yesterday with the updates in firmware 3.0…there were quite a few new features added (check out THIS post to see them all). Some of my favorites include; copy & paste, push notification, spotlight search, the new options for accessories and peer-to-peer connectivity. However, I know a few of you are still waiting for those certain features (video recording…etc). Let us know in the comments what features you are still waiting for.

Of course, we personally think it should be legal to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch based on the fact that they are computers running a modified version of OS X. You are able to install third party apps (non Apple approved) on your computer so, why not your iPhone. We would love to hear your opinion about this in the comments! :)

We are torn on this one! Doug has installed and used yellowsn0w…I have not. I honestly do not have an exact reason for why I have not installed yellowsn0w mostly because I just do not have a need to. Doug, being the techy that he is, has installed yellosn0w. Though, he has had a few issues with it affecting his connectivity to AT&T. AiS Normally I put last weeks poll results and the new poll in the same post however, this week’s poll is a little different than normal. Every once and a while we do a poll in which we would really like to get some feedback about AppleiPhoneSchool.com itself. This week is one of those times. I personally do not use YouTube a ton…I was actually one of the 350 Hardly Ever votes. I did this poll just out of curiosity and I thought it would turn out much differently than it did! We do not plan on buying any more iPhone’s for Christmas (at least I don’t think we do) though, Doug’s grandma and grandpa each just got one and Doug is trying to talk my dad into getting one too…which I think he might be pretty close to doing! Doug did get a Mophie Juice Pack for Christmas…which he loves!! You can check out our video review of it HERE. I apologize for not having an option in the last poll that said you were not buying nor asking for anything iPhone or iPod Touch related for Christmas! I will remember that for next time! :)

I will say that I was among those of you who have stopped counting! And, it is probably for the same reason too…installed and tested too many applications!! I actually fall into a few categories on this one. We have one iPhone that we did not upgrade, one that we upgraded and did not jailbreak, one that we upgraded and did jailbreak and one that we still plan to update but haven’t yet. My personal iPhone has not been upgraded yet though, I plan to both upgrade and jailbreak it (if I could find ten minutes to do it!!). Doug’s personal iPhone has been both upgraded and jailbroke. I am totally with the 16% that use Categories to organize their applications! Though, it does seem to get pretty messy before I break down and start putting apps in their correct folders. I’m not sure I should admit this or not but, I totally use my iPhone on long trips!! Mostly to get on the web or check Twitter. Doug uses his iPhone basically anytime he is awake so, good thing it is not illegal to use a cell phone while driving where we live. I’m totally with the majority on this one! I am almost always on WiFi when I am using my iPhone. Now, that might change once we get 3G (which is supposed to be in the next few weeks!! YAY!!).
